That's right. The CEO of EA is stepping down at the end of the month. What does this mean? Can EA be turned around and begin to make up for all their mistakes? How do you feel about this?

the company wont change... it will still be the exact samething.

Him leaving really doesn't have an effect to what EA was doing.

Peter Moore is one of the candidates to take over after him. This could be good!

If that happens I would give EA about 3 years before we truly start seeing changes. It's not so much that the games are bad (most of them are good), it's just all the little things they have added. (Online passes, DRM, against used games, etc.)

None of that will change, I'm sure whoever takes the spot won't look twice at these policies EA has adopted.

^ In a company, it's all about the mahnies, and until these decisions pose a SERIOUS problem to it's profits, it won't change, so I'm not holding my breath here...

The CEO of a company is just one man or woman; the real power lies in the company's Board of Directors which to my knowledge, the same people are still there = Company policies, financial practices etc will remain the same most likely.

He had such a good start. He promised new IP's and less issues with consumers. Mirrors edge, Dead Space, Brutal Legend right out of the gate. Hell Mass Effect 2 was also fantastic with just a little EA influence. Then it just went down hill from there, sad.
