I said he was in the minority by (1) thinking it's the worst thing that's come from Halo, and (2) because he's disappointed. The vast majority of people seem very excited and every dedicated forger is well at work already.

This ^. It would have been a good idea if it actually worked out well. But there is literally no scenery to it its just 3 flat surfaces on a map. surrounded by water, its not to good.

Yes, indeed it was. The biggest complaint people had with Forge World, though, was that the trees and other terrain that you couldn't edit often got in the way when you didn't want it to. 343 listened to that complaint and used it to try to give what forgers wanted.

It is indeed true that it'd be nice to have some options for terrain modifications for those who actually want the terrain, but those people have the other 3 maps with plenty of varied terrain.

I never heard that complaint about the outside terrain lol. If anything, I think it helped with the imagination, cause now it looks like we're in the middle of nowhere lol.

This^. I think if they made terrain on the outside but there was an option to take it off the map then i think that would have worked much better.

Although Forge Island is not the best, already seeing some solid Maps coming out of it.
