FC Halo 4 Top 5: The Revival

After some discussion I've decided to take the realms on the weekly Top 5. After talking to Zeta, and hearing about the amount of footage he received for the first couple episodes, this may be extended to a Top 10 depending on how many clips are submitted. There are a few things I need to get sorted before going ahead with this which will be detailed in this post.


Submitting Clips
As you can imagine manually going through and entering each gamertag associated with each clip is a laborious task in and of itself, there will need to be a standardized format and process when submitting your clips.

Players will only be allowed to submit one clip that they feel deserves a spot in the top 5 (or 10), unless they strongly feel they have a couple clips that are worthy of consideration.

We may also do themed Top 5s, such as Luck shots, Sticks, Snapshots etc, depending on how many clips are submitted after the first week. So you may see your clips in later episodes if that happens.

Clips will be submitted either to my (or one of the other judges') inbox, or we will start a new thread each week for submissions (pending moderator approval, as to avoid flooding the forums)

Deadline for submitting clips is Friday, April 19th. I'm sure you all have clips lingering in your fileshares/hard drives, so get those ready!

Submission Format
Gamertag: bl4yze
Waypoint Link: (This will require you to upload the relevant clips to your fileshare, then locate the clip via waypoint)
Description: Skill/Lucky Shot/WTF Moment/Spree/Cross-map Stick etc.

Judging
We will likely use 3/4 Judges each week to avoid bias when choosing clips. As of right now they are myself and Guzzie. 'Applications' are open, so if you feel like going through clips and rating them shoot me a message or reply to this thread. Obviously Judges won't be rating their own clips, unless it's them assassinating Guzzie, in which case it's an automatic #1 clip.

Red Carpet Premiere
So when is this gonna be ready to show your relatives? As of right now I am working on overlays and countdown graphics. Once we hit the submission deadline you can expect the finished product no later than Monday, April 22nd.


If I've forgotten anything obvious, or you have any suggestions drop them in this thread. I set email notifications on for any replies (which I'll probably regret), so I should be fairly prompt getting back to any questions/suggestions.

Yeah Kaz, when I was putting together the intro for the top 5 I wanted an FC logo that was just a solid color, but didn't know where to look so I just screen capped the one on the homepage and traced it in Illustrator. May use yours for the outro for the Top 5 though for some color :)

By the way, great job Blayze. One piece of advice though; on parabola's clip, when he brought the flag after the exterm, you should have sped his clip up at that point. Other than that great job.

The votes are in, and this week's top 5 is ready to begin editing. We had a bit of a delay with Judges voting this week and I had to expedite it a bit. We still need more BLUE judges. I've added OCR Yehsus to the judges, and I believe silversleek expressed interest. I'll be messaging you shortly :)

Just to keep everyone updated:

I am done with all the intro clips for this week, color correction and getting all the angles for the clips. I am now starting the arrangement and picking a song for this week's compilation.

I expect I'll be aiming to do these every 2 weeks, so 2 a month. I ordered parts for a beast of a PC last night so that will likely increase workflow.

I'll also be implementing Google Docs' submission forms from now on to facilitate getting all the clips into the spreadsheet the judges use to vote etc.

Still looking for a BLUE judge, as Jamie had to step down this week (appreciate your work Jamie! :D). Yehsus if you're reading this I've sent you a PM and invited you to the spreadsheet, let me know if you still want to participate!

The judges for this week were myself, MDMYAY and GuzzieStyle. Again, we did NOT vote on any of our own clips!
