I was actually curious about this as well. Been thinking about it for a few days now. I wanted to try and find someone who would do a machinima on the FC lore.

Exactly what I was thinking. Everything is pretty well written out for us. Just needs a script. And maybe a little extra writting if we want to expand on the lore and go in depth with it.

We've been trying for YEARS to get a dedicated team to come up with some FC videos in terms of recruitment and a series...but alas they always have fallen apart rather quickly. We'd absolutely love to get them rolling, but it is one of those "easier said than done" situations. There is so much that goes into filming, voice-overs, editing, copyright stuff, acting, and organizing that it can be a real pain in the ass to film. But if you guys can find a dedicated team willing to work on a series of videos, then by all means. We have ribbons and awards made specifically to people who help FC in the media department, and sometimes we will even go as far as "paying" people with microsoft points if they videos are good =)

I've been in a few machinimas but I've never been behind everything with it. So this will be a new experience for me but I can fully understand the stress and nonsense that comes with it. I was hoping that making a machinima out of our Lore would, in part, help a bit with recruitment. People looking to potentialy join FC would see that we aren't just a 'choose your side and kick some ass' kind of community. We're so much more than that. I love this community, it's the best thing I've done in my Halo career. It's the most fun I've had with the game apart from the classic LAN parties way back in the day. So I'm more than willing to put the time and effort into making this happen. I will definitely be asking around here as well as the 343i and Waypoint forums for anyone willing to be a part of this.

I was working on one back early last year and even had plans for a weekly to possibly a bi-weekly series, but I want it very limited on who knows about it. If you are interested, message me on here via PM, and I'll talk to you later tonight after battles and tell you the idea.

Iv worked on other machinima videos before, but they failed due to lack of help/support/and voice actors. Hopefully this one will work out.

The wars aren't going to Halo 2 Anniversary, so I say no. Can we wait and use it a little? sure. But there really is no gain or loss if we waited.

I can edit, iv gotten much better at it compared to the work I did early when I had my Roxio. But now I have a PVR and use Vegas Pro 11 for editing.

Haha I can imagine thats a pain in the ass. My biggest problems with scripts is actually getting started. So I'll be collaborating with everyone else.

This would actually be pretty awesome, but I'd think that for this to take off well we'd have to be "generally" unbiased with the sides. Less of a recruitment video (which we have plenty of) and more of a series about the wars/ lore (like the OP says).

I've always imagined that FC would be able to pull off a "Band of Brothers" esque story-line, following a group of BLUE soldiers and a group of REDD soldiers, or something along those lines (so we could be fair) during a certain point of the war (maybe they found a Forerunner weapon dump or something, the story can be come up with later). It would be interesting and still kind of serve as a promotional/ recruitment video, just without the recruitment part taking center stage.

Hey all, if I were to write up a script for a promo (along with storyboards), would anyone be interested in filming it? There would be no dialog, it would have a small plot to it, and it would be set to Imagine Dragon's "Radioactive". I have to figure out how I exactly want things to happen, and where it would take place, but I really want to do this. I've had the idea rattling around my head for the last couple of months now.
