I'm gonna go ahead and see what the general consensus on this is. I personally think the size is fine for 8v8 but the framerate on this map is awful when there's 16 people in it.

Ridiculously laggy for me, especially on Dominion. It makes taking over B on dominion near to impossible.

Exile 8v8 is TERRIBLE the frame rate issues it holds practically throws skill out the window and comes down to who can rush the hill the fastest. 6v6 is whats needed for this map

Voted 6v6. Map might be a bit big for it, but the benefits outweigh the costs.

ill say 8v8 because i've never had framerate issues on exile, except on those days where i was also having it on every other map too.
Also, I damn well know for a fact that dominion becomes worse and worse with the fewer people on it, and i "have a feeling" that dominion will be a well played gametype this battlenight.
the map is also huge, it sometimes feels like it could even be stepped up to a 10v10 if halo could support that

8v8 is fine normally. I don't ever hear people complaining in BTB matchmaking about exile because of lag. Dominion generally adds a lot of lag, both due to the gametype itself causing framerate issues, and the fact that people cram together on certain areas.
We can't change the size just in anticipation for a certain gametype to be played. Dominion will lag one way or another. That's why it's not played a lot in FC.

I feel as through a 8v8 is fine i have never suffered this lag in which many of you speak of it is a little overwhelming for the map because there are certain parts where you are constantly bombarded by people but besides that i think 8v8 should work fine.

Ive never lagged in matchmaking dominion on Exile. I think the map really needs an 8v8 regardless. I remember doing 8v8 in the beta war on Exile and it being fine.

I remember fighting for 6v6 in the Beta war and getting shot down >.> But this time I brought a poll.
And it wouldn't be to accommodate for one gametype. Occupation is just as bad, and Hill 30 is actually worse. See, now it's nearly half of our gametypes. :P

I've never had the framerate issues everyone is talking about with dominion on Exile either. I voted 6 v. 6 just to try it out.

I'd rather have it be slow and lag-free than fast and full of lag. Complex is a 6v6 map, and the difference between 8 players and 12 players is a lot bigger than the difference between 12 player and 16 in terms of gameplay.
Also, Exile is in CTF Matchmaking as 5v5 (and plays surprisingly well) so it's not like 6v6 is too small for the map. :P

and notice how half the map is never used in 5v5 ctf exile

I have never had lag problems on exile but if people are reporting lag then I'll support the 6v6

IMO< it should be an 8v8. i've never had any sort of lag issue with Exile.

I would like to try out 6v6 on Exile. I've run across some pretty serious frame rate issues on Exile with 16 players, like others have said. And that doesn't just include matchmaking, but FC battle nights as well. I would like to see how 6v6 plays.

In Matchmaking it might be a little silly with having a Scorpion, Gauss, and Banshee on the map. But since our version only has the Banshee anyways it feels fine. If you make a lobby to try it yourself and need another player just shoot me a message.

Why are we going to play a big 8v8 map and then play it with 6v6?
I feel like this is a similar case with strongside where it lagged with 8v8 so it was changed it to a 6v6 and the map felt to big for the number of players. If we aren't willing to risk lag with an 8v8 then we should't be playing any 8v8 maps in any more Halo 4 wars.

We removed some aesthetic pieces and improved framerate noticeably. There are some issues still, but it's much better now than it was before.
We'll continue working on it.

all you all keep saying is matchmaking frame rate is bad well too bad this isnt matchmaking its a custom and the frame rate issues are shit every custom gametype ive played on exile that has been over 6v6 has had terrible frame rate issues it needs to be a 6v6 so ppl can enjoy playing it. as for the ppl comparing it to matchmaking play 8v8 in a custom you will see the issue then
