Overall, I think there are a lot of unhappy people in FC right now, and I think it’s going to take some new, and creative thinking to solve the issues facing us. Out in the real world, when an organization has a difficult problem to solve they issue a proposal of work. Other entities then respond to that proposal, the best ideas are selected, and a contract is written.
Here is my proposal:
Redesign the FC community using any means necessary to ensure that:
1) Players of all skill levels can have fun each Sunday playing Halo with their friends.
2) Disrespect, trash talk, and poor-sportsmanship are not tolerated.
3) Each member can contribute to an objective beyond their individual games and build a sense of community.
Requirements:
1) People must be allowed to play with who they want.
2) Teams will not be forced to play against other teams far above or below their skill level.
3) Additional forms of Halo gameplay will be evaluated for potential inclusion in the community e.g. party games, action sack, swat, slayer, CTF, BTB, or 1v1s.
If you think you have an idea that meets this criteria, submit it as a new thread entitled RE: Proposal for the Next War. (I’ll be submitting my own right now.)
