Shoutbox to be removed.

I know I just put it up recently, but I am going have to take down the shout box. It's not you guys. The usage of the shoutbox was great. The problem comes that my web site host sent me and email saying it is consuming too much CPU resources and is causing other websites to slow down. This being said, I have to remove it in order to avoid any additional charges. Sorry guys.

We're only allowed 2000 CPU cycles in a 24 hour window. Notice the high usage.

Met this isn't at you, but I used the Shout box for quite a few reason.... One would be to talk to people so I don't fill up my PM inbox and sent with one convo at a time regarding certain subjects.

So long it doesn't use our actual processing, as that is the issue.

maybe because it's close to two or three years old and I thought for sure you'd get a new one by now. However, it's nice to see people still using my art ^_^

but as far as shoutboxes and chats, a xat.com chat box might be the way to go, one site I'm a member of, SLHB.org (Sweet Little Honey Bees, #1 ranked band on RB2), uses one and it's fantastic.

With the amount of CPU processes the shoutbox was using, we'd have to get a full dedicated server which STARTS at 179.99 a month.

As for the Xat thing, we could just link it some where for members. Give it a trail run.

As much as I would love donations keep something like that up, donations are not reliable on a per month basis. When donations don't match the bill, guess who picks up the rest of the charge. Yea. I don't have that kind of disposable income.
