I got the RROD. My Xbox was one of the first released and I never had an issue with it until about a month ago. I got the RROD but immediately unplugged my Xbox from every cord and left it alone for a few hours. Plugged it back in and it worked. Last week, when I came home with Payday 2 (on its release day), i turn on my Xbox to get the RROD yet again. I unplugged everything, blew out the dust and plugged everything back in after about 2-3 hours. It fired right back up and ran perfectly fine. Yesterday, I wanted to get on long enough to delete a few things off my hard drive but got the RROD again. I unplugged everything, went to my sisters wedding, got hella drunk and came home and went to bed with it still unplugged. I woke up this morning to test it out again..... still the RROD (To make it clear, 3 of the lights where flashing on the ring. Usually that means a hardware malfunction). With the Xbox One out in 2-3 months, I see no point in getting a replacement 360 just to have it go to waste just a few months later. I still plan to try to get my Xbox back and running, but there is no way in hell im making promises on when I will be back and how often I'll be back on the Xbox.
Till the Xbox One.... IM A PC GAMER!

Yeah my release Xbox survived three rings before finally dying. Fucker died like two months before reach. So it wasn't until Christmas I got the Xbox slim and reach.

Mine randomly RRODs once every 6-9 months, then never does it again.
But that blows. At least it got you thus far.

I'd just like to point out that both myself and unlucky try to give him free money to buy an xbox, but he refuses. No one give him any gifts!

So I contacted Xbox Support to see what I could do without having to spend much money if none at all and they spent 3 hours on the phone with me. We looked into many options and we came down to figure out it appears to be a issue with the Power Block. He said "I highly doubt this would work, but worth giving it a shot. Change outlets your Power Box is connected to"..... it fired up lol. Both of us were shocked that was what got it back running fine... for now.
Also, I want to make note to what Garg said:

Only reason I refused was because I wanted to repay them for what they did and they refused that. I told them, whatever you get for me, I will pay you back for it 100%. They kept refusing that.
