I think it's interesting... I'd like to get a hands on feel for it before dismissing it as unworthy of being a controller. From what I've read about it, it's very intuitive and artistic. A controller designed outside of the box...

Saw this today... thought it made an interesting point.

I don't fault Steam for much yet. I have never cited anything bad about Steam to date, so why now?

Here's what some devs said about their hands-on time with the controllers:

My friend who is a developer at gearbox makes a good point that could be a flaw for this controller.

Notice the button layout.

We all know that the action buttons such as (XBYA) they are placed on the right side of the controller for a good reason.

Movement is now usually controlled by the left thumbstick. So, if we are assuming the left track pad will also be used for movement, the buttons shown next to the movement side will come at a disadvantage. SLIGHTLY.

You will need to briefly stop moving if you need to press one of those buttons while moving. BAD. Now. Unless Devs will make the action button on the aiming side, then it won't matter as much, but if you ever need to press the 2 buttons next to your movement track pad..

GOD HELP YOU

I agree, Raz. However, that might be alleviated by the two buttons on the back of the controller where your fingers will rest. You already have the triggers and shoulder buttons, and there will still be two buttons on the "looking side" of the controller to use.

Idk, though. :/
