Family just passed on to me a Colt 1911, for anyone out there interested in guns it's a Sistema 1911 MOD 1927.

Pretty nice gun, made in Argentina in 1948 for use of the military and my family picked it up sometime in the 60's. Now my question is I've never owned a 1911 before. They are usually very reliable guns but is there anything I need to keep an eye out for? I know the Sistema model can have cracks in unusual places but that's about it. If anyone else can give me some tips that'd be great.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Also, I think Doug (Renegade of Funk) might have a 1911. Ask him.

I'm also looking into what kind of ammo is most reliable for it, been told to stay away from blaze, but federal is good.

I've found that federal and remington usually work out best ammo wise for my 1911 but mines a 40 S&W so idk if its the same for a 45 or not
