How many of you have tried this?
I've had more fun on Halo 4 over the last few weeks than at any other time. Ever.

It's because we've been voting exclusively for legendary slayer.

I missed having an AA for maybe 2 games. After that, it's been amazing. The flow is just.... words cannot describe how much better it is.


The Challenge
I know a lot of you feel that playing legendary slayer is restrictive. To those of you that think that way, I challenge you to get a full team of 4 and vote only for legendary for at least 10 consecutive games. Back out of the lobby if you have to.

After you've done it. Go back to infinity. If you can honestly tell me that you prefer getting camo-sniped, boltshotted, and mowed down by saws, I'll never bother you about settings again.

i couldnt agree with feedback any more. he is 100% right legendary is a needed gametype. it provides fair gameplay all around. and gives equipment on the map a reason to be picked up

if you get surprised by a boltshot more than once, maybe twice in a game, you deserve it. That's all i'll say to that.

Saw's can be taken down fairly easily if you know what you're doing because it often makes people cocky.

Camo and ammo, well, fuck camo and ammo, i'll give you that one.

i think a set loadout gametype with no ordinance is necessary. i dont mind a saw as long as it spawns on the map. boltchots jetpacks camo promethean stickies and plasma pistols all need to be gone so to make it fair just make a set loadout of "sprint, frag grenades, BR, AR secondary, resupply, and explosives. especially if we are playing a remade map from halo 3 or halo 2

The boltshot promotes crouching or sitting behind corners. A "longer range playstyle" works for slayer, but not so much for OBJ games. Sitting in a corner by your flag on Pit with a boltshot is super mlg skillful.

I've done it many times, I still prefer the Infinity. I've grown out of pure arena shooters and while I do enjoy legendary I like Infinity more. There's more chaos and unpredictability and I like that a lot.

I'm not saying it's hard to counter. It's a no skill weapon that's a cop out for players who like to sit behind corners, or put themselves in stupid situations. It's basically a required secondary in FC on any non-vehicle map because of how prevalent it is. I'd be fine with a couple on the map, but spawning with it is retarded.

I do play battlefield it's my second favorite fps. Doesn't match 8v8 2 flag coag though, I don't like halo 4v4 which is why I mostly play big team.

I pulled some matchmaking records and here's what I found:

Zeta I went all the way back to the beginning of august. You've played 5 games of legendary since then.

Spattan177 You've only played 1 game of legendary over the same time period.

Silversleek I had to go back to the middle of July to even find 1 game of legendary.

You're all so dead set against these settings that you've convinced yourselves that you've given them a fair chance.

Now, either open your minds and go play some, or please see yourselves out of this thread.

The point of this thread is to invite people to consistently play the gametype.

The point of THAT is to provide contrast. Being accustomed to legendary and playing infinity is a much different experience than being accustomed to infinity and playing legendary.

I'll bet you a 12-month subscription that you haven't done that, and I would still really like you to try it,

Also I don't need to play it every single game type to know I dislike it. I already don't like 4v4 matchmaking, I play with others but I prefer 8v8. I like 4v4 more on halo 4 then I've liked it since Halo 2. Take away the things I like about Halo 4 multiplayer and It goes back to Halo 3 4v4 which I don't like.

I don't need play something I already dislike, add another lever of dislike on top of that and play it 10 times in a row.

Is there a legendary Big team? If so then I'll give your challenge a try.

He went back to August. Legendary Slayer came out July 15th, and it spent like 3 months being AR only spawns (which is unrepresentative of the challenge Feedback is presenting). So his argument of you not playing the gametype enough to give it a fair chance is quite valid.

After 13 games of Legendary slayer, and then a few of infinity slayer this is what I learned

While the bolt shot is annoying I don't find it nearly as annoying as everyone else seems to.

Also if we get to a point that we have to use load outs I want AR starts. God I forgot how much I liked the AR.


Still prefer Infinity, but if we had AR start load outs I would be ok with it.

It's cool feedback. This made me realize how much I dislike BR spawns, like to spawn with the AR, and just basically confirm my belief.

I wouldn't put up to much of a fight if people wanted to take out bolt shots but I really don't mind keeping jet packs and such even if I don't use them.

The first version of Legendary slayer had AR-only spawns and it was terrible. As soon as a team got their hands on some BRs, it's was just spawn killing for the rest of the game.

It wouldn't be quite as bad with a AR-magnum, but it would still have the same problem. A Magnum is only marginally better against a team of BRs than the AR is.
