Just looking for some interesting music to listen to while I game. I've gotten into the habit of having a Youtube playlist set up with all different kinds of background music to play while gaming and I'm wondering if anyone else does this and has some cool beats I could add?

I actually cannot stand music while playing. :/ I dunno why, it just gets in the way.

I really like having music on in the background.

Credence and Clearwater Revival
Queen
AC/DC
Velvet Underground
Linkin Park
Rise Against
Led Zeppelin
Daft Punk
ect

Having them on in the background is nice.

More specifically; Liquid DnB

Usually I'll listen to mixes to keep it fluid. If I'm playing CS I'll listen to stuff when I'm dead and pause when I'm about to get into a fight, or I'll just leave it playing but super quiet.

I listen to all sorts when I'm gaming though. I have about 12 spotify playlists that I've just been throwing random stuff into, then once I'm bored of one I'll start another. It's nice to go back to the older playlists everyone once in a while.

Agreed. Unless if I'm playing CoD (which I don't anymore) and I just don't care about anything. Lol

I'm listening to some light stuff right now but drum/bass might be nice for when I stream; I'll probably look into more of that genre. Anything that's nice on the ears in the background lol.

Yeah I tend to stay away from tracks with lyrics when I'm playing games that require some communication, and I usually only ever listen to music when I'm playing more casually. Liquid DnB is good for background music as it's not too abrasive.. Garage/Future Garage is good also.

I've been listening to this all night: Liquid Drum n Bass (http://open.spotify.com/user/jimofwales/playlist/6msfCmisWSbyyo8sFAXwpp)

If you have spotify give it a listen. I have Spotify Premium so I listen to all my music with Spotify. Best $10 a month I spend imo.

I stream music through the xbox so quietly that I can only hear it in the lobbies. It's not so much that I want to have background music though. I do it to kill Halo's "OMG you have the flag" music, and the deafening menu garbage.

Depends on the game. But Tool, System of a Down, a little bit of Eminem and Rush. I also use gaming sound tracks like the Republic Commando soundtrack or the Halos soundtracks when playing Star Wars.

You can just start a song and pause it to mute the lobby music and ingame music.

The fact you spelt Creedence Clearwater Revival wrong is a disgrace, but all of these artists I agree with except maybe Velvet Underground, never heard them.
