It's always better to read them after watching the show, IMO. I hate watching movie adaptations when I already know what's going to happen.

Agreed.

I'm not gonna read the novels for GoT until after the show is over.

Did the same thing with The Hunger Games too.

Adaptations are Adaptations, they weren't made to follow anything 100% correctly.

GoT does a good job following the series and bringing it where it needs to be (Season 2 was kind of bleh though).

I highly recommend getting to the books when you can. Much more entertainment in my opinion.

Read the books people.

The books are no longer valid until the next book comes out because they just finished the books in the show and are adding things not in the books.

I do not watch this show but this is what i heard

read the first book, it's much more entertaining to just watch the show. violence and nudity are much better visually.
