So, I think this is weird. I have those Apple Earpods or whatever and when I plug them into the computer they work when I play music using a media player, but when I go onto the internet for Netflix or YouTube then they give me a sound that's all garbled. You can hear the sound, but it sounds like it's coming from the end of a long hallway. Is there a way to fix it? I thought it was just the headphones or the jack until I found out I can hear sound perfectly fine unless it's coming from the internet.

Thanks guys,

--G; or R, whichever.

OK I know what is the cause of all this. You are using a apple product.

Apple earbuds are just generally bad. Consider buying new ones, your ears will thank you.

(this is all earbuds)

If you want inexpensive at good quality the Skull Candy Ink series (like 20-30) has good quality for the money.

Shure makes some of the best sound quality headphones in the business right now (imo) and they are priced correctly as well. Earbuds usually run between 100-120 last I checked.

If you want something in between Razor is in the headphone market right now. The Razor Hammerheads are priced between 50-70 (two different tiers) and they just came out with a new one that's getting some good praise. Just be ready to hear the base because that's what these guys were mainly used for.

I spent all morning Googling the problem. Didn't find anything useful.

You guys are right. I'm probably just gonna get some different headphones. While the remote thing is pretty useful, the damage they cause to my ears compared to the sound quality is just bad.

I mean the best way to detect whether or not it is your earphones is by trying to use a different headset or a pair of earbuds to see if your earbuds are broken or not.
