From my last few guns post I'm not sure many others here are into firearms but thought I'd try again anyway. I'll be getting my conceal carry here in a few weeks and shopping around for what pistol I'll be carrying. I have a 1911 which I love but is a little on the heavy side. I have a few that I'm looking at purchasing.

Glock 19 Gen 3, Has a 15+ magazine and it's a good size. Just never owned a 9mm hand gun before

Glock 23., smaller gun but only heard reliable things. Doesn't hold as much as a 19

Glock 21, fires 45acp like the 1911 but is way lighter which is nice.

If anyone else has used any of these guns, or have other suggestions for guns or even holsters let me know.

Easy to conceal
Less ammo
More Damage
If you need more bullets in the chamber then you need to practice
I would go for the one in the middle of price ranges

That's been my debate, bigger round with less ammo or smaller round with more ammo.

The appeal of 9mm is more ammo but it's also cheaper and freaking everywhere. My first though was glock 21 or 23 but the ammo is more expensive. THE TOUGH CHOICES MAN

you won't need that many bullets
just hit him once with a good shot and he'll go down
More Damage is the best way to go

I agree with nick that is why I say stick with the 1911. Few things in this world that can knock a guy on their ass like a .45

Personally i'd suggest looking into getting a Smith and weston .38 or .357 they are usually smaller than all the ones you listed and are lighter than the 1911. also they pack just as big of a punch as the .45... Orrrr if you really don't want a revolver look in the Glock 10mm it shoots a lot like the .45 but is soooo much better

The 1911 is heavy and to big to carry expecially with summer around the corner. A glock 21 fires 45 app just like the 1911 but light. I think I'm leaning towards that now.

I've had my LTC Conceal for a while now, I've been looking into a lot of SW 9mms. Mass gun laws are ridiculous alot of the newer Glocks are banned in state unless your law enforcement, but I have been looking at a few preban ones, but the prices they go for are through my wallet.

I had a couple potential buys saved somewhere I'd have to dig up, but I dont plan on getting anything soon. College loans are my priority.

Does anyone know much about the Springfield xds. 45? Looking at that gun now. Getting good reviews but no one I know has one.

This is my CC side arm. I used to use a Ruger's 1911 but it was too hard to conceal under something like a t shirt in the summer.
CZ-75 P07 Duty. Its a little guy but the way the slide is designed has almost no recoil. For a 9mm I'm in love with it.

I typically keep my .44 S&W Magnum in the glove box of my truck and my 12 gauge and 25-06 behind my seat.
