I'm currently looking into getting a computer... not a laptop... that i can play games on and all that but i don't want to spend a fortune. I've been checking out some Asus but what would you guys suggest?

Also, depending on how much you want to spend/what kind of graphics fidelity you want to achieve, we have MANY people here (most notably Metkil, Blackhawk, and myself [screw you other guys - we da best :P]) who've built our own PCs and know what we're talking about.

For learning how to build computers, YouTube is your friend.

Check out the website Myth linked to and see how much you're willing to spend. That site is an incredible tool.
