How tough would it be for FC to get a facebook log in?

Around the internet, at least to me, it seems that most of the forums I belong to are having trouble attracting new member except the ones with facebook log in. With a website that logs in with facebook you hit the button, enter facebook information, boom you've made an account. It's quick, it's simple, and it speeds up the process for new recruits to get on the website. It takes a lot less effort then the current method, and while the way we are doing it now isn't bad, I've realized that the last 10ish forums I've signed up for have all had facebook log ins, I've skipped other forums because I didn't want to take the time to go through the process.

I talk to Mythonian today, I believe he said it might not be that hard to get it done. Thoughts?

I never use Facebook log-ins 'cause it uses my Facebook account, which I don't like being out in the 'Verse all willy-nilly.

I wouldn't use it either, but as an option I think it would be a good idea for new members.

I've considered it in the past. Honestly, it's stupid easy for me to implement FULL facebook integration. FB login, being able to share content on FB, etc.

I literally have to put a key in. That's it. I'll talk it over with Myth this weekend (hopefully).

well, there seems to be a very conspicuous [F]Connect that appeared on the top of the site... overlapping the statbook icon on the underground skin

Ok cool, glad to see this is easy. Just raised the question can you have Facebook integration but still be able to out your gamer tag on your profile

Also, I saw the connect at the top tried it and got and error message saying the it wasn't set up properly. Still being worked on?

Personally this isn't my cup of tea. I hate when websites want me to login to facebook...

I don't care either way, but I won't be using the login
It would be great for members that are always on facebook, but that would raise questions of jurisdictions, rules and regulations over facebook...

You guys are way over thinking this.

Quite literally all this is going to allow users to do is to log in to this website using their facebook account as opposed to the normal registration method. After that, it's just like any other account on the forums. It's just an option for people.
