So I wanted to bounce some questions off everyone. What do you think about nightfall? What do you think the threat is in nightfall? and what are you excited to see from the film? Im personally very excited and would like some people to talk with about it! =D (I love Ridley Scott)

The Halo Review doesn't actually start until halfway through.

"Everyone has been wanting to know what the deal was with the unknown ship that crashed on Installation 04. We haven't found out about it yet, until possibly now. In the new footage for Nightfall, some figure is shown to turn into countless of mini forms, something we haven't seen in Halo before. I think that maybe after Installation 04 was destroyed, this material from the ship escaped and is now attacking anyone coming in contact with it. This makes me hop that its' of Precursor creation, something far more frightening."

Idk what that morphing creature was in the teaser they just released, new kind of flood? New enemy? I'm interested now.

Or it's just a new form of the worms that make up Hunters. That's what it looked like in the teaser, at least.

Could be that the Lekgolo are a Precursor creation that can be controlled in different forms by the Precursors/Prometheans/Didact/Librarian???

I'm pumped to watch it once MCC comes out, though.

I believe if it's the worms of an hunter or a new form of the flood. The Installation was destroyed a few years before the requiem event, and probably the flood adapted. That's my opinion so far.

While I am open to the idea of Precursor influence, I am thinking that whatever the "thing" is, it's not going to be a simple rehash of something we've already seen. I'm more concerned with speculating the identity of the ex-Spartan. I mean, there's a lot of options there.

If it's an ex-Spartan that we already know about according to the books, then it's either Joseph-122 (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Joseph-122) (most likely) or Kirk-018 (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Kirk-018) (way less likely).

If it's a Spartan that we currently think is still in active duty, it could be either Douglas-042 (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Douglas-042) or Jerome-092 (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Jerome-092) that served aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire (Halo Wars) or good ol' Frederic-104 (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Frederic-104).

More than likely, however, is that it's a new character entirely.

Annnnddd I totally just looked all that up in five minutes. So take it with a grain of salt, please.

P.S. Fred is still actively serving in Blue Team, not an ex-Spartan. #Grainofsalttaken

I don't recall that Spartan in the trailer having a giant ass tattoo on the side of his head or being ethnically ambiguous. :P

In the trailer the dude that's a Spartan is called "Colonel" by Locke earlier on in the trailer.

Definitely Linda. xD

Never forget the tattoo, bro!

It's most likely a new character, but I am probably one of the least qualified to guess. lol

I heard the spartan is Randall 037 from Ghost of Onix

he is supposedly K.I.A but Catherine Halsey considers him to be one of the few that actually is M.I.A

Definitely Jorge-052 (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Jorge-052). He totes survived, and when I saw the colonel in the trailer it reminded me of Jorge.

According to the Halo: Reach Legendary Edition Developer Commentary, Jorge is MIA, not dead. Not even a slipspace rupture was enough to mark him as KIA. ;P
