Crysis 2 Launch

So Crysis 2 officially gets released in less then 7 hours. Anyone else out there going to be a day one player?

I personally have a PC Download pre-order active. Once these 7 hours are done I will be able to download. It works for me because I basically have class all day. I'll be be posting some screenshots later today when I get to playing it after classes and what not.

I beat the single player campaign last night. I personally thought the campaign was awesome. It was only 6 hours long on 3rd highest difficulty (out of 4). However, I can not say a single thing about the multiplayer because the MyCrysis servers are having a hell of a time for people logging in. Errors flying everywhere on the PC version when it comes to multiplayer. This being said, if you intend to play on the PC version of the game, you might have to wait a few days until they fix this to play MP.

Oh yea, a couple screenshots. I've only taken two so far. I'm going through the game again on the hardest difficulty now. I'll actually take screenshots this time round.

Playing it on PC for the past few days. Haven't beaten it yet, nowhere near close as far as I can tell, but a few things annoy me.

First and foremost:

Directx 9?! REALLY?! It was supposed to have Directx 11. What the hell? Well thankfully I just read this (http://wccftech.com/2011/03/27/crysis-2-directx-11-advanced-graphics-setting-patch-coming-tomorrow/).

That article brings me to annoyance number two:

One option to change the graphics. Only one?! I can't change the refelction of the water or antialiasing to my liking. Nope, all I get is Low, High, Very High, Extreme.

Speaking of graphics, here is number 3:

The first game was a huge leap forward in graphical power and I loved spending hours looking at the detail, but the second one doesn't look all that much different. Some stuff is cleaned up sure, but it's actually disappointing that I can run this game on very high settings smoothly. I was expecting to run it on medium at the most.

The final annoyance, number 4:

Silent Character. I mean really? Why do I have to play as a silent character again? They say that it makes you feel like the character, but that is bullshit. It's exceedingly annoying when through the beginning of the game if my character were to say four simple words.

"I AM NOT PROPHET!"

That would of saved plenty of unnecessarily bloodshed.

Other than that the game is great. The environments are big and thank god we are out of that stinking jungle. So sick of jungles. The gameplay is good and the suit is a lot easier to use this time around. It was a hassle in the first game and I usually got bored rather quickly, which resulted to using cheat codes to finish the game.

I can't wait to play some more!

Seriously what the fuck? They had this error back in the demo. They did fix it in the demo, so why didn't that translate over to retail?

I'm running into a glitch in the campaign where my Nano Catalyst reverts to 0 when I resume the campaign. I'm not exactly sure what is causing this or why it is happening, but it is annoying.

I'm a little late to the topic, but I gotta say that this game is ORGASMIC.

It's like Crackdown, Splinter Cell, CoD, and Assassin's Creed rolled into one. With aliens. ^__^

This one's definitely a keeper.
