What do you guys think?
If I remember from past halos, SWAT makes everyone weak to the point of one-shotting them in the head with a BR or DMR
EDIT by Mythonian: Revised the poll a bit.

it would be interesting to have some 'ODST Skirmishes' added to our war sim ^.~

Personally I would never pick SWAT, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be an option for other people.

Revised the poll a bit for clarity. Anyone who voted for the second option should re-cast their vote, as option 2 has been removed for now.

No headshot capable weapons, no shields, increased health. Damage taken, stays.
Would need more non-headshot capable, non-power weapons though. Having only AR's/supressors/storm rifles would be a bit boring.

I want SWAT as long as it is DMR only on Halo 4

Not in favor of it. It's fun and super casual, but why add a gametype so markedly different from the rest of the stuff we do?
The only SWAT gametype in FC history was during the last battlenight of H2, Waterworks. It should stay that way.

I made a SWAT Gametype already and tested it. It's good and should be ready to go. But I assume this will be more wasted potential?

Potential can be both good and bad Nervy.

^Guys above are getting a little off-topic, OP made a poll about SWAT, not member activity^
Above comment not directed at Barry Soap, was already deep into writing my post and didn't check for new replies before posting.
In my opinion, SWAT gametypes would probably do good for the community. It would balance things out, make it just as fun for our casual members as well as our competitive teams. Aside from regular conflict, where you pump your enemies full of steel projectiles (lead was basically outlawed in our decade because lol poisoning) until they drop dead, this is a very precise gametype that rewards precision players for their efforts in efficient slaying. The only advantage any team or player would have is the host, which is another matter as that problem persists in any game. Aside from that, it's equal, just as in any other gametype. Weapon and gear advantages are removed, and the only real edge gained would be through map control. SWAT is all about communication, because anyone with enough skill could drop in and dominate a well thought position. It makes for a more interesting game where the leader and loser flip positions in a blink of the eye.
At least give it a full shot before you shove the idea away.

I actually hadn't thought of the issue with host in SWAT. I'm not sure I support this game type anymore because hosts are such an issue right now.

But see, that same problem persists any any gametype, regardless of how long it's been a part of this war.

To be fair, SWAT is the most host-sensitive gametype in all of Halo. Whomever sees first, shoots first, and wins first. The host will have that advantage.

But you're just thinking right now, on MCC. Inclusion of SWAT will continue further on, giving us time to get into how it plays before Halo 5. Think of it more as beta testing for the better product, so it's ready when FC migrates to the next game.

I'd rather not beta test a game mode that will operate completely differently on dedicated servers on a completely different game, but that's just me. I respect your opinion though and see your point.

I created hill 30I'm inclined to believe him cause he's the most honest Fc Member. I think Host advantage should be irrelevant. if that's honestly the argument you are providing I feel that perhaps you care a little bit too much about winning and fear losing a bit too much. I mean I can understand not putting in Fiesta but this one should at least be given a chance.

Only if everyone wears ODST armor though. It must be legit for this to happen.

Practically everyone who has voted is either active (whether it be on forums and battles or just battles) or will be a returning member when H5 roles around, which is where these rules are more likely to have a lasting effect. There isn't enough evidence to determine who is active and who is inactive when 1. The MCC wars have discouraged people from playing currently, 2. People who voted may not be active on forums, but are active during battle nights, and 3. There are some people who voted that are highly likely to return in H5.

Voting is officially closed. Thanks to all who voted and the feedback given, we greatly appreciate it! We look forward to improving the community with the help and input from everyone here!
We highly encourage you to please fill out this form in regards to Skirmishes, which will have the ability to include gametypes such as SWAT, Fiesta, Husky Raid, etc.
