As for those 15 campaign missions, it is being said that based on the difficulty, when played without running past shit or finding ways to cheese through it, it will take 8-12 hours to complete the campaign start to finish

We're going to have a beta war sometime between launch and Christmas where we'll try to test stuff like gametype settings and get feedback on what people like about Halo 5. It'll probably start off with default 4v4 maps but if BTB is added quickly enough (which I think it will be) we should be able to try a few of them out as well. Forge will be released somewhere around the time that we take a break for the holidays, so we'll have it available to make map adjustments for the first official war, which should start sometime in January.

they claim 10-12 hours on normal, so at least 4-6 hours worth of content on legendary. ^.^

I'm pumped for a longer Halo campaign. The lore behind and during H4 campaign was great, but the forever button pushing was lame.

I loved Republic Commando, if the squad-play is at least a fraction as good as it was in that game, then H5's campaign will be fucking amazing.

Custom game lobbies have already confirmed to be 16 slots at launch. You just can't find BTB in matchmaking yet.

That's what (mostly) everyone assumed when they first mentioned it at E3, but they have since confirmed that the maps themselves will not be on-disc.

All Halo 5 DLC maps will be free.


When you have paid map packs and content, you divide the player base into two groups: the haves and the have-nots. The people that have the map pack can play together but the people who don't cannot. That to us is a real problem. So we're delivering all the maps to all players free so everybody will be able to play together. That, we feel, is really important to having a great multiplayer ecosystem.
