I'm pretty disappointed so far in this community and the complete lack of communication. Aside from a select few, my messages go unresponded to, and my suggestions go unheard.

Look, I know a lot of you are busy and I get that, and prepping a new war under a new game is a big deal. But letting members, old or new fall by the wayside can't be acceptable.

I've requested to join Blue army, where I at least know a few guys who I enjoy playing with, and have been requested to help out from an old squad mate, but have been unable to go forward with it as my transfer has not yet been processed.

I get Skype is a big communication tool for a lot of you, but you have to remember, old and new members don't all have access to it, and maybe we need a way to make the site a more effective way to communicate to each other...

I'm so sorry to hear about this Jamie. My life has basically revolved around my job, so I'm not too active, but if BLUE doesn't want you, REDWATCH will be glad to take you in.

as a mod, turns out i technically have the power to change you over (i didn't realize i could) but as it's wartime it has to be approved by both armies leadership anyways, and no longer counts as a peacetime transfer, soo....

paging guzzie and phoenix.

This. Can't expect people to look at peace time transfers when it isn't peace time. You should know by now that if you want to change armies you should contact the leaders of each army.

The Field Marshalls have already looked into your transfer Jami and it's being processed. It will mostly be fully processed tonight or tomorrow morning. Patience is at a virtue.

Thanks for the response Raptor; i posted my transfer and messaged the leaders Sunday, and now its Friday. just concerned as I've had no chance to practice with a squad or anything of the sort. Patience is a virtue, I agree...

Just so everyone knows, mods actually can't change the user groups. All we can do is look at them.

Correct; Army Mods only have limited options such as issuing warnings and things of that nature. We do not have the ability to change usergroups or anything else of real importance. That kind of stuff is left to the FM and Admins

I would love to approve your transfer, but I am not BLUE FM. As you probably know, war time transfers (I know this is a beta war, but it is being treated as a war on this regard) require the approval of both FMs. As soon as both FMs agree, I will personally transfer you over to BLUE.

hm, so it is. i never actually scrolled down to see if there was a "save" option, as i've never had need of changing anyone's group.

Transfers midwar have always needed the approval of both FMs. This is mostly a safeguard against those looking to just be in the "winning" army. FMs are leaders of each army so why wouldn't it fall upon them?

Leaving it to anyone else defeats the purpose of what FMs actually are and do.

I'm confused as to your logic here...

it's a really easy (and fun) way to communicate with people for online gaming communities. I have already suggested this to a HC member but I do hope we end up using it. I'm already in 6 discord rooms/chats/servers and there's never a dull moment (for me).

It may even end up speeding up battlenights and organizing people together. it's free too and there's a desktop app AND mobile one too

I would be fine with this, but I think the process of moving people over from Skype to Discord could be quite a hassle. Also, some recruits are shaky when it comes to getting apps like Skype just for FC, I'd imagine they would be even more so with getting Discord lol

Discord is specifically made for that type of insecure people afraid of switching over! Y'know why? because it can be opened on your internet browser too. Discord > Skype

just a tad. I nominate Mythonian to host the Discord server since he is cool and Neutral i think War Director or something of the sort :p

another good thing about discord is that you don't need to add people to join a group. all you have to do is send out a link that discord's servers provide and once a new person clicks on said invitation link they join up instantly :D

Because if I'm a leader of any sort and I see someone's transfer sitting stagnant and armies are only consisting of a whopping 20-25 people, I'd at least poke the FM to get a move on.

We kindof all have a bit of responsibility with these things.

I suppose, but no one actually knew he was sitting stagnant, I know if I did I'd be getting some attention on it to be taken care of.

Plus it was more the bad communication regarding other community events, which, to my knowledge, is being worked on
