Battlefront Side War Start Date: June 25th, 2016
With the first war of Halo 5 complete, Lilith and I will host a side war on Battlefront 2 for PC. This will be a full side war with a warmap and attack planning/battle results. For this war we will be fighting in the Galactic Civil War era. I will be leading the Empire and Lilith will lead the Rebellion. As this is an official FC event the accords will still be enforced during this event.
Battle times will be the same times as normal battle nights, Saturdays at 6PM EST. This weekend on Saturday will be a test weekend to both see our numbers for the sidewar and polish how it will work. We will be fighting on the Planet Yavin 4. You may pick your team in the thread. We will only move people around to another team if the teams at the start are unbalanced number wise, ie too many Imps or too many Rebels.

Getting Started
Due to the official Battlefront 2 servers being no longer in use, we will be using a 3rd party program called Gameranger. (https://www.gameranger.com/) It is very simple to use and has a full installation guide and FAQ at it's website. Link can be found here (https://www.gameranger.com/). At the start of each battle, a server will be created and the password for the server will be handed out
The next thing you will need to download is this patch (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=425232058). You can find the link to the patch here (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=425232058). The patch fixes a great deal of bugs and helps the game run smoother. You will also need to have this patch to connect to the lobby.
How we will fight
Each team will choose 2 planets to invade. The invaders must win a space battle over the planet before they can begin the land invasion. If the invading team fails to win the space battle they do not get to begin the ground assault and the planet is successfully defended. If the attacking team wins both the space and ground assault, the planet is conquered. Game types will be standard Conquest with 250 tickets and Space Assault with 250 point cap. There will be Heros during the ground assault.
Lastly, as this is an older game there are graphical issues for newer PCs. PCs running AMD graphics cards appear to have these issues more frequently then none AMD users. I highly suggest you play the game on the planets Tatoonie and Kashyyyk to see if you have these graphical issues. Tatoonie and Kashyyyk are two planets known to have issues, there are most likely other planets that also have graphical bugs but these are the two planets that I personally know do have graphical glitches. If you do get a graphics bug contact me and I will walk you through fixing them. As a AMD user I also had these issues and have been able to correct them and enjoy the game as it was meant to be played.
