Modern Warfare 3 Announced; Details Leaked

In case you have been living under a rock and have not been checking out the GamerDirt Twitter feed on our homepage (fcwars.net/forums), you would know that Kotaku gained some valuable information from multiple sources about MW3.

Robert Bowling, one of the community guys at Infinity Ward later responded by saying that "it wasn't planned" to have a leak but here's a teaser anyway.

Eh MW's campaign has always been pretty good. However MW1's campaign made me feel at war.

Whats good is that its not being made by Treyarch. Don't get me wrong Treyarch solo story is always good but multi-player just sucks, compared to MW1 and MW2's.
I'm just hoping it tops Blacks ops story mode and MW1 and 2 multi-player. It's also nice to see the IW wasn't totally ruined with Activision fire the old ceo and the president of IW.

That "kid" isn't some "newbie", Yehsus's comment was out of line towards Maxdoggy and Carpe simply was defending Maxdoggy. What came next was Yehsus saying what he did to get banned. In fact nothing was even over criticizing Carpe at all. Yehsus said pick a side meaning either Dead or Carpe and Carpe simply said no. Look at both and make a constructive critic over them. Not just choosing a side because of popularity or being one's friend.

I heard that, the multiplayer maps will be bigger then normal. Of course just simple rumors of why people want in the game, but from what I've read the multiplayer will be unlike any type of Call of Duty on the market.

I am sure Modern Warfare 3 will have a great campaign but, also I am very very leery about what the multi-player is going to be like. If i find out that there are more douche bags using those modded controllers then I am just gonna give up with it. It'll also give me more time to drool all over Battlefield 3 which dominates any modern warfare game. I still give my kudos to MW for having a very successful run and I hope to see whats in store for this new MW3.

I really couldn't tell the difference between the MW2 trailer and the MW3 trailer graphically.

And Infinity Ward, Raven Software, and Sledgehammer Games have said that it is the same engine as MW2. It has just been updated to include some level of destruction(like frostbite) and other things(like blops).

Just by looking at the reveal trailer, you can tell how much potential this game has. (Story wise)

I just hope to god that they don't try what they did with MW2, and set out to make a cheesy action film with a barely recognizable story line.

I mean, think about it. Your in WWIII. The war that is supposed to bring about the apocalypse (Dont get your hopes up of seeing this in game XD). Total war with the most advanced military equipment ever to exist. Imagine how that would feel.

I want to play through that instead of some 2 Star Mission Impossible Remake.

CoD has never been very realistic. The reason why it was the most known FPS for the longest time is because Medal of Honor generally sucked. Plus I felt that the controls were easier to use in CoD rather then MoH.

But the gaming industry has taken a shit, a lot of companies are turning to try and make a quick profit rather then care for the game so since CoD 4 they have been regurgitating the same engine just upgrading it slightly. Look at Guitar Hero, they planned on releasing 7 games in one year.

So CoD will be the same way, although I hate the series because of how they do things with it. MW2 is a good example, the game itself is addicting, until you realize how broken everything is. The game was built from the ground up to stop the players who bitched that CoD 4 was to hard and other bullshit. MW2 is flat out a game for noobs.

Hopefully since Activision is making the game it won't be to bad.

actually EOD it's not always the companies that are trying to make a quicker buck its industries like sony, microsoft game studios, microsoft, activison, all the big names that have contracts with these companies take bungie for example the main reason they left microsoft was cause microsoft wanted to release a Halo EVERY YEAR! bungie said that would lower the games quality making it slapped together (like MW2) this is why most games today are so horrible (not alot but most big names) take Halo 3 GREAT game! why? cause it wasnt made in a year and then the following year another Halo came out. I do have the Chief Helmet from Halo 3, but I also like the story line for MW and the multiplayer isn't all that bad. honestly if you like any COD story you might as well read a Tom Clancy novel.... they are much better and pretty much every COD game since 4 (except WaW) has pretty much ripped its story out of them.... though badly i may add.

and the things people hate about cod is the inconsistency within the game mechanics and the developers general lack of attempting to fix things so they can get another one out in 2 years while the other developer just reskins the game and sells it to people again. Thats what a lot of people don't like.

But we can compare it to things like GR:FS, Rainbow six, battle field.... and it comes up lacking in ever department.... people just like it cause its easy to kill someone and requires little effort to be great.... its al;so a game that rewards the good and punishes the bad on a per game basis.... so when your doing bad you can say "its just luck, if they were not getting all these lucky kills i would be dominating" and when doing good you say "its all skill" when the other team is saying the same this you would be saying if you were losing.

and its also a game where it favors a small amount of weapons over others even though they have all these guns only about 3-6 get used often and people who choose not to use them generally have a harder time winning
