In all seriousness, they have been saying for some time a Halo Movie was going to come out. First it was 2010, then 2011, and now 2012. If you can post the site you read this from it would be nice. If you heard it from a friend, the rumor continues....

That's just Landfall that you watched. WETA helped market Halo 3's release. Old news is old.

If so, let me tell you right now that this IS NOT from a halo movie. This is a live action trailer used to promote Halo 3 before the game dropped back in 2007. The trailer is called Halo: Landfall.

EDIT: Beat me to it eri lol

As stated, not a trailer, it's a promotional campaign. Just like We Are ODST.

Just like We Are ODST.

We Are ODST was so amazing. Off topic: Does anyone know where an mp3 of the song might be? Gives me chills every time.

I can only get the original version in Galic sung by a woman in higher tone which is too happy sounding. I do have a slight remixed version of the one used in the video.

Well if you're willing to share, i'd prefer the remix. Happy-sounding and ODST don't sound like they mix too well.

Always willing to share, the question is how???

I'm not getting too excited about a Halo movie until I see an OFFICIAL trailer. Because they've been talking about it since 06-07. I've simply been considering everything I hear a rumor. I don't understand why they can't just do it already, especially if budget is their biggest problem. Because it shouldn't be. A Halo film would make TONS of cash AND they've got more than enough material to work with. Several books plus several games? The stories of The Fall of Reach mixed with Halo: Reach would be more than enough for one film alone. But I have a feeling they'd fuck it up because I've never seen a film based on a video game stay completely true to the game. Except for maybe Mortal Kombat, but that wasn't a very good movie.

What happened at one point was that they supposidly made a larg portion on the movie (maybe just costuming or whatever) and the stock market crashed, resulting in the movie being termenated due to people having to be fired (kinda weird that the rumors and info died during that finacial state)... however it is rumored that it will be 2012, however this movie has been kicked around alot... last attempt turned into the creation of the movie "District 9"

Idk about you guys but this movie poster is pretty convincing…. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2332150600 35445&set=a.196598137030471.492 77.181345861889032&type=1&theater

It's definitely fan made. Look at the A in FAITH.. it looks very awkward, and besides, I doubt they'd name a Halo movie: Faith

So, all the speculation I heard was that the director of Lord of the Rings (I can't remember his name) was going to direct a Halo movie, however all the effects needed supposedly drained the budget. I find that an extremely terrible excuse, but I'm not even sure if that is true. Either way I feel a Halo movie could possibly get off the ground, but I don't think it would be as popular amongst everyone that it's speculated to be. Halo isn't as popular is it used to be, and all the "cool" kids moved to CoD.

Peter Jackson directed Lord of the Rings

and Steven Spielburg is directing it now and DreamWorks is producing it.... it is infact being made and coming soon

No kidding? I usually hate it when people ask me but, where is the proof?

could be good, and could suck so hard. If they follow the exact story from Halo 1 with the visuals they have a chance at bringing in a lot more people and a lot more cash. Otherwise an independent story has less of a chance.

A French entertainment website/magazine interviewed someone and they said that a film adaptation of Halo in some sort will be released in 2012. (They were interviewing someone about the Forerunner saga of Halo books, I do believe. This means that it may be an origins story of the Halo Universe).

I didnt read page 2 or 3 but this is legit. The title of the Movie is Halo:Faith.

They have a facebook page. Its more a fan made movie like the Assassin's Creed Movie.

FB Page right here (http://www.facebook.com/HaloTheMovie)

They will have to get someone who is a giant of a man. I think they are going to have to pull a Darth Vader on this one. Get a big man in a suit and get someone to voice over (aka Chiefs voice actor: Steve Downes) and don't show his face.

I like how we just necro'd this topic instead of making a 'Halo: Faith' topic.
