New Ribbon

While looking through the ribbons that members have the opportunity to earn, I experienced a stroke of creativity; and I feel it would make our community even more immersive.



Patriot Ribbon
Awarded to individuals who donate their VCash towards the war effort.





In essence, the proposed ribbon would enhance member participation; in the coming battles.


It would also promote loyalty and further involvement in both armies, and their respective campaigns; towards securing victory for their faction.


Furthermore it would make supports/abilites become a more frequent, and dangerous occurrence; throughout the course of the war.



Lastly, it would definitely contribute to the flow and pace of the Warmap, in turn placing High Command from both factions; in predicaments where sound and tactical decisions will be the order of the day.

There should also be a minimum amount of vCash that you can donate to the war effort so people don't just donate 10 vCash to get the ribbon.

The required VCash amount will be calculated, determined, and then formally announced by the Forerunners.

Donating money doesn't really make or show your patriotic. If you want a Patriot ribbon have it something that people can suggest to the Forerunners to give to a member based on them loving their Army and parading that love all over the forums while flying the REDD or BLUE war-flags or other Army based things around. That's a patriot.


Your idea Syfe would more fit a War-Bonds Ribbion. Your donating money to the war, then you get an interest rate (just like real war-bonds). However to get your vCash back with all the extra vCash you got in interest you must win the war. If you don't win the war then you just get the same amount back that you put in.

Syfe is saying to reward someone for sacrificing their VCash for the War effort... In other words the only thing they are physically recieving is the tactical advantage granted on the battlefield... The war bonds suggestions turns it into an investment rather than a donation... That changes the outlook that some might take to giving up Vcash in order to get richer...
Didn't you post something on your blog asking why we love War?
War is money, or in this case Vcash invested into the War to recieve interest (if your faction wins)
Basically, both work... the motivation one has on why he's willing to give up the Vcash for is what changes...

if someone loses the war when they have vcash invested they shouldnt get anything back, it will be called an Army-Wide Debt when happens to most countries that lose wars( germany just got finished paying the US back for WWII)

Germany paid back the EU (European Union) they didn't owe the US anything... What they paid the US for was closing down one of the US Army garrisons we had in country...
