buy the nice black xbox and buy the 4G one because you can take apart the white 360 hard drive and put it into the black xbox. If you willing to spend the extra 100 bucks and get a 250 G hard drive you will need to get a hard drive transfer cable in order to transfer the contents of the old hard drive to the new one. Also taking apart the White Xbox hard drive WILL kill the warranty to the hard drive but putting that hard drive into the black xbox does NOT kill the warranty of the black xbox

Wait for the slim to have a sale again. Lately its been having a sale where you purchase a slim and get a $100 gift card with it. That's how I got mine.
