Got it and I do like it, and even through a bunch of trailers for the game the graphics looked the same they are slightly better though the area we can explore seems slightly smaller... but that could just be the map.

I am having a bunch of glitches with it through, like not being able to shoot for 5-10 seconds after reloading and my arms disappearing until I move, teleporting to the left for no reason, not getting a perk at lvl 5, and the pipboy screen going off its mark and now the pipboy screen is way to bright and unreadable... I hope they address these issues soon... but it is still fun none the less

If you do have this game then SAVE OFTEN! There are a few game breaking glitches such as loading errors or getting stuck in a room that doesn't allow you to open any doors (says it requires a key).

Hopefully this will be all fixed by the time I get it.

I've heard this game has so many bugs in it that it puts Fallout 3 to shame.

You get perks every even level (2,4,6,8, etc)

I got it for the PC and I haven't noticed any glitches yet, As for the game looking like Fallout 3, they said this from the beginning. They said it is going to look like Fallout 3 due to the fact that they are using the same engine as before (which is the same for Oblivion).

Either way, I'm enjoying it.

The only glitches I've incountered are the same for Fallout 3. Sometimes my Pipboy wont come up when I hit the buttion, or when I try to switch between the screens it wont let me ect.. and the one about shooting that fiery was talking about. Other then that I've had no troubles.

A games engine doesn't matter on how it looks, thats why on PC versions when people make mods they can look better than the actual game, the graphics depend on 2 main things, models and textures. all an engine has to do is load the model and the texture, it is up to the developer to improve graphics (which they did in slight ways). I could take the old mario game engine and load high quality sprites into it for better graphics, they used to be 8-16 bit because of hardware reasons, I could also take the mario 64 engine and make the characters look like they are from halo reach

So I say I have had an unbuggy experince. I get about 7 hours into the game. Save my game and quit. Come back 30 minutes later and steam has an update for it. Oh ok, that's cool. Finshing updating. "Load Game" Most recent (and only) save 1 hour and 32 minutes into the game.

I almost had a similar thing, not quite as bad but I would have lost a good 3 hours progress. I was looking in diffrent rooms and I went into this one room and it used a loading screen for me to enter (so an auto save), there was nothing of interest in the room so I turn around to leave and the door says "Key Required"... the only exit that was there and for a door that did not need a key to enter... I was trapped, luckily I waited a few hours and the owner of the room came back in and the door no longer needed a key... but I was scared for a moment

EDIT: also who else has gotten Ed-E?

I just got "The currier who broke the bank" achivable and I have to say its fairly easy if you have 9 luck or so, and you get a lot of caps I am currently at 34589 caps, mostly from the casino's not to mention the free rooms you get.

I would take out 100- 500 and bet just under half of what I have (to a max of 200) and would hit on anything value that was under or equal 16.(only do that if you have high luck because with high luck chances are it will be that its a ace - 5.) double down often after you build up about 700 chips and split where you can and double down on you splits.

haha at the start of the game, for those of you who know it for those of you who don't spoilers

you get shot in the head by this guy named benny, eventually when you track him down and are a female and have the black widow perk you can seduce him and get him to ask you to his suite but the dialog is hilarious, you may be able to do it as a male with the same sex perk

because I always play both genders through a game like this, especially when one gender has diffrent things from the other, and this isn't too far into the game.

also people should know that the main story is pretty short and after you beat it you can't continue (much like FO3 was at first) but they also said they will have DLC that lets you continue like FO3.

stick to side missions and you'll still be spending as much time playing this as you did all of FO3

Depends. Did you like Fallout 3, then it may be worth the $60. If you were not crazy about Fallout 3, then wait for the price drop before you buy it.

I dont like the armor bullshit. Where the sheild pops up by their health. Im in these guys faces shoting them with a shotgun, their not wearing helmets and that thing keeps poping up..

that doesn't necessarily mean armor, it just means damage tolerance, if I have the toughness perk (x2) and take some med x I would have a very high damage tolerance with no armor on. but the shotguns are very weak in this game.

and yes armor does effect the whole body, no matter where it was covering but I have no problems with it. not that big of a deal

Repair your gun then. DT kicks in for enemies when your weapon's condition falls below 50% (or even 75% in some cases)

And shotguns aren't weak. Any close quarter scenario I'm using the lever-action shotgun or assault carbine. Both equally effective.

There's a quest chain that lets to get their armor though. I think it involves a companion as well if I remember correctly.

Eh, just use your fists. Also, how do you run out of Ammo? The veterans in my game were spawning like crazy. Marksman Carbines EVERYWHERE with atleast 5-10 5.56mm rounds on them.

did you fight legate yet? he is a tank and his sword does massive damage + a - 2 hp/s for 10 secconds, even with both legs of his crippled he was faster than me

Yea, I used a Gobi Campaign Sniper Rifle until it was bone dry. Then I ran around using the Ballistic Fist killing the Veteran Legionaries for the Marksman Carbines and ammo. Once I got a good amount, pulled up the item menu, repaired the carbines, and continued to kill him. Also having 31DT makes it a breeze. I think I used like 4 stimpacks (80 Medicine, 6 END, Level 26).

I was also playing Hard Mode on Hardcore. Shits fucked up man.

EDIT: I just went back into my save right before the whole Legate's Camp deal. I somehow lost Hardcore Mode, so I only completed it on Normal mode. Oh well. Hard difficultly was still on. Going to upload some screenshots from first play-through in a few.

I never bothered trying to find people to do that for you. I just wanted to do a playthrough for the main story with a few side quests. Now I'm going to go for a complete game. All side quests that I can do from the Independent stand point instead of NCR. I'm going to have to look for them this time around. Aiming to have 10 in all the stats. :D

Find the BoS, keep the Elder in charge, get the lockdown lifted. Come back a few days later. Ask to join, do a quest, come back, get training, improper grammar, win.

I'm working on getting power armor training right now; personally, I found Vault 22 kind of confusing.

I think your talking about Vault 11 with all the robots.

lol my yes man is glitched , i killed house ( on accident) , Slaughtered the legion (2 times) and became ablsolutly hated by the NCR while i was doing the final battle, so i went BoS and Enclave, lol i love fallout, oh and i think the best weapon in the game is the Anti-Marterial Rifle with armor rounds
