For this we actually decided to listen to the clamoring of the community as they raged about the rounds system. No one even wanted to have one-sided objectives in the first place and wanted neutral objectives instead.

In terms of controlling the middle of the map, most of our asymmetric maps are already decently balanced. Manifest, Gully, and Breakneck should be mostly fine, and we may just need to adjust the objective locations a bit. Inner Traxus is the one that I anticipate to need the most adjustment.

This probably wasn't a satisfactory explanation, but we didn't really have a whole lot of time, considering it was a last-minute adjustment and we were already focusing mostly on recovering from the hacking.

As I said, for most of our maps, it would work. High Ground only had one base, which is why it was like that. Most of our asymmetric maps have two bases but an asymmetric layout to the map. Therefore, that example isn't completely applicable.

We only have 4 asymmetric maps:

Manifest is more semi-symmetric than asymmetric. There is a central depression, surrounded by two ridges/walls/whatever, and then the bases. For Manifest, getting over the ridge/wall would be "considered a score" similar to passing the gate on High Ground. However, it is like that for both sides. In this way, it is semi-symmetric, and would work for these neutral objectives.
Breakneck is obviously asymmetric. However, the basis of the map in these neutral objectives isn't quite like that. Neutral objectives spawn in the wide open dirt area in the middle. Whoever gets it inside their building gets the score, effectively. Therefore, if the objective is equidistant from the bases, it is effectively balanced. We'll need to test this map to ensure we have the optimal positioning.
Gully has two bases and a relatively wide open middle with long sight lines. There isn't really a specific point where you are effectively guaranteed to score, for either team, and you aren't very safe until you are already in your base. Going from the center, both sides have essentially the same advantages and disadvantages in terms of layout and positioning. We'll need to test this map as well to ensure we have the optimal positioning.
Inner Traxus, as I said before, is probably the most one-sided map we have. This map is by far the most similar to High Ground out of all of our maps. However, for this map there isn't something equivalent to the gate. Due to the layout, pathing, and spawns, you aren't ever truly guaranteed a score (even less than Gully). It is very easy to flank and prevent a score on this map, and by the time they respawn you're already halfway across the map again with the objective. Out of all of our asymmetric maps, this one will require the most testing and refining, however, due to it's elevation differences.
