We have so many people here at FC that i was just curious about the community's favorite music tastes and bands and what the majority is here. Im siding with Metal on this. Favorite artists have to be Iron Maiden Ozzy and Megadeth

I can honestly listen to anything. I'm not at all musical, so I respect almost all artists and their talent. That said, I'm going to side with Alternative if I had to pick one.

It's a tough choice for me, my top are spanish romantic, old school hip-hop, and rock.

I'll give it to Rock though.

HAHA dude you don't have any idea how crazy I could go on this thread right now, but I'll make it easy on you guys. I will always give a song a chance, even if I hate the genre, but here is my requirements for a good song, and to be good they only have to meet one of these requirements:

1) Great to sing along to.
2) Good to listen to when sad, depressed, or in love (sometimes those emotions go hand in hand).
3) When I listen to them loud I can feel the adrenalin rush throughout my body, making me feel great, like I can do anything!

Here are the three songs I listen to most as of this week (it changes a lot . . .), these aren't in order from best to worst, I like them all equally.

These are just my favorite of the week, and I don't just listen to rock, but ROCK ON.

Judging from my own personal experiences, I've found that our tastes in music often reflect our personalities. Unfortunately, I have many personalities, so my taste in music varies. Two genres that I like most often are modern versions of early 20th century music, so long as it doesn't get too repetitive, and simple emotive songs with little to no words and a strong baseline. Basically, Chicago and Halo OSTs.

If anyone says Dubstep, I'm giving you a perma-ban.

60s-80s, early 90s, hard rock, Soft rock, old school rap, AC/DC, Queen, and all that jazz

I'm a metalhead to the core. Favorite bands include Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Protest the Hero, and Korn.

Second favorite is electronic, mainly house. Daft Punk be my favorite.

Metal/Screamcore/Progressive Metal.

Metallica, Between the Buried and Me are my top two. MayDay Parade sounds good.

As a guitarist, I like most music though. Obviously the Beatles, John Lennon is my all time hero. Ever. Josh Turner has the sexiest voice. Etc etc. I can enjoy most anything. Glenn Miller is my favorite old-time Big Band. I do enjoy my Big Bands.

And Spartan, you can perma me, but I do enjoy Dupstep from time to time. I'm particular to what I like, but there are some Dupstep tracks I enjoy. It's not the best music out there, but the beats are amazing.

Meh, Classic Rock, Old School rap, all that jazz.

Some artists would be Guns n' Roses, The Eagles, Hank Williams, Led Zeppelin, Older Maroon 5, etc.

And as a fairly new guitarist myself, if I hear a song somewhere that has some pretty solid Rhythm or Bass guitar and I like it, I'll make a mental note to go look up some tabs on it.

The one where I don't adhere to pointless and apparently endless subgenres and simply enjoy any form of good music for what it is, good music.

BUT IF YOU MUST NITPICK ME SIR..! Metal, Alternative, Jazz, Blues, Just pure instrumental "Two steps from hell" type stuff, Not sure how to class that last one, a bit of R&B, country, anything really as long as it's BA and not some gay ass miley cyrus stuff. ( Was going to say shit, but said stuff, Sorry but despite a vast vocabulary, I am lazy and therefore I use profanity as a cheap and easy way to express myself. )

Yea dude, i understand. I'm listening to so much random music right now (mostly instrumentals like technical metal or jazzy beats)
