Civ5? Yes? No?

Has anyone here played civilization 5 at all? Is it worth getting or should I get CivIV instead? I'm currently downloading the demo for Civ5.

I found the game enjoyable, but the overall game experience is dumbed down from previous installments. Also, the AI has the steepest difficulty I've seen in a while. 1,2,and 3 difficulties are too easy, but set it to 4 or higher (goes to 9) and they will tear your shit up. Just play the demo and see if you like it. It's a hit or miss game for people.
