To the few Canadians out there, I'd like to say Happy Canada Day. I'm celebrating it in the US, oddly enough. Does anyone have any special plans for the day? I know there's lots of fireworks around. There was always one in the park right next to my house. But I don't think anyone will do anything for Canada Day in south WA.

It's probably similar to Independence day for use American's, which oddly enough, is in three days.

Here's a weird little fact for all you Americans out there... The fourth of July shouldn't be celebrated on the fourth. America declared independence on July SECOND. And the Declaration was signed on august second. The fourth was just when they said "ok, this paper looks good. we're done" So, The fourth of July is a day celebrating finishing writing something. not independence. So, if you want it to make sense, then get drunk and party on the 2nd of July and/or (i'm guessing and) the 2nd of august. Hurray for historical mistakes

im along the same lines as Acid, cuz i got some buddies up there. i mostly pick on them whenever i hear them say eh, think i spent a little to much time with Capone. then again i keep saying giggity due to robby so it evens out =P and im not gonna lie there are times where i would perfer being in Canada as opposed to the US...i got people i work with asking if im Canadian anyways when they find out i like hockey better than any other sport <_<

Well this Canada Day thing explains why the Canadians at Darien Lake yesterday were showing off their flag all of the sudden with temporary tattoos, facepaint, hats, t-shirts, towels, etc xD. Which is something you don't normally see at Darien Lake. It was pretty cool. My friends were joking around with them about saying eh, they got a kick out of it and started saying eh lol.

Oh, here's another weird fact. When the US was breaking away from Britain, the ones who wanted to break away were called patriots. The ones loyal to Britain were the loyalists. So, if a Canadian says they're patriotic, in a way, they're saying the exact opposite of what they mean

Every country has a day of celebration for how long it has been around and we all should respect it sure people can make jokes but don't be rude or a dick when you do because it can and most likely will be turned around on them
