Well, I'm still head of the Video Department technically. So, here's an informational thread on how the Video Department works.


The Video Department's goal is to organize the creation of promotional videos and/or YouTube videos for the benefit of FC.

YOUR GUIDE TO THE VIDEO DEPARTMENT

MANAGEMENT LOUNGE:
The sub-forum for management to determine which projects to pick up, discuss termination, and general duties.

PROJECT SUGGESTIONS:
Ideas for projects may be submitted here. Only writers and management can view this sub-forum.

PROJECTS IN PRODUCTION:
Topics to keep all parties of the video team updated on what's going on with the videos.

COMPLETED PROJECTS:
A subforum where all completed projects will be cataloged.

SUGGESTIONS BOX:
A subforum for any FC member to submit ideas.

THE PROCESS OF CREATING A VIDEO!

1. An idea for a video will be suggested, and liked by the members of the Video Department.

2. If an idea is liked, it will move on to the hidden subforum (Where the VD Staff will discuss production. This is because, quite frankly, we know what we are doing and don't need any outside input. Think of it like High Command.)

3. When we have an idea of what we want to do, the writers will produce a screenplay of the video. This will be sent to all actors, writers, producers, and the creator of the idea. Production will now begin. Sets (if necessary) will be made.

4. Filming will begin, mostly dependent on the capturer's availability.

5. After filming is complete (Usually takes about 2 weeks to a month) the editing process will begin. Audio voiceovers will be recorded.

6. After audio is recorded, video editing will begin. Whomever will be editing the video will be given the audio & video clips.

7. The video should be done. It will be reviewed, then uploaded to YouTube and spammed on every corner of the earth.

ROLES, AND GETTING INVOLVED.

Any FC member may apply to join the video department. Most of the time, a little skill background will be required, but mostly everyone will be accepted.
