Heard the HD Happauge is good and you can get it from Best Buy, but I think the cheapest way is through Amazon. I would ask Myth what his capture card is

Hauppauge HD PVR Gaming Edition. $200 retail, but I got it for $150 off eBay.

eBay can get you the best deals on pretty much anything, you've just got to be smart about it and be patient (since it might take a few weeks to win the bid on a good deal).

i like how everyone is asking Myth yet i had my capture card the longest AND whent through 2 different ones lol

HDPVR is the best choice so far... but that can change anytime. Like Myth said, $200 at the store, maybe $150 on ebay. I got mine for $200 but got a free $100+ mic with it with a few extra things.

Since you live in Canada, the price might be more or less, i dont know the currency rate between the US and Canada.

I use a Roxio, it's a really cheap cap card usually for beginners and you can get it for under $100. I got mine $40 used from Bazonga, who I think got his used from Carpe? Anyways it gets the job done but if you're looking to get real serious about it you may want to just throw down the extra cash.

Things are almost always more expensive in Canada. Especially in BC where I live. highest tax rate in Canada, and higher than anywhere in the US ( I think I have that information right? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). At least BC has lots of trees and it's pretty ^_^

I use the Hauppauge Colossus PCI Express Internal HD-PVR, awesome capture card! And the best part? It doesn't soak up your PC memory since it runs off of it owns PCI slot.

exactly. I bought the Roxio for $60 from Carpe, then sold it to you for $40 (lost $20 >.< ). But with your $40 i was able to buy an Ipod Touch for $40 :P

Thank you UNLUCKY for buying me an Ipod :D
