Probably not. It's the reason they didn't add in lowering your guns online (at least I believe so), so people can't do button combos to exploit the system.

B was melee, X could cancel the post-animation of a melee (thereby nullifying the delay between melee and shooting), and R would shoot. If you did this to a player with a headshot-capable weapon (usually the BR), the melee would also serve as a means of lining up with an opponent's head to allow the coup de grace shot. It was basically the premiere button combo of Halo 2, as it was the easiest.

There used to be a double melee and a double nade throw glitch in halo 4. (throw nade sprint throw nade or melle sprint melle) I believe these both have been patched.

Although if you sprint throw a grenade it does go farther though.

Yes it does, i find myself doing it more and more , and getting hail mary! one time i stuck someone doing it, it was great! haha

While not in the same form, it did exist. And it was later found that host wasn't required.
The timing for it is tougher than a H2 Quad-shot, too. Almost impractical.
