I've always been using the antivirus thing that came with my laptop (which I've had for a while). I think it would be good if I actually downloaded a good one. Can someone recommend a free antivirus software?

#1 rated free antivirus. Better than most of the ones you can pay for, too.

I will vouch for avast, I have been trusting it to keep my expensive alienware virus free since I got it.

Myth just likes it when Avast has a virus database update. He loves the sound of that sexy robot's voice

Hey, I do too! :P

Avast is what I use and it's still my favorite to date. Outside of Norton, which is the best, but you'd have to pay a lot for it lol.

I had AVG for awhile, and every few months I'd get a small virus or malware through the system. With Avast, I've had 0 problems.

I've used McAfee before and I currently am using Norton....they seem basically the same to me although they are really expensive.

Although my brother uses Avast and he says it's good.

Microsoft Security Essentials isn't that bad. I use Avira and Avast. Two different machines.

I have no active anti-virus and only a couple scanners to check every week.

0 anti-virus and 0 problems. It's all about how you use your computer.
