Yes. Before submitting the thread, scroll down and there are some options to choose from, one of which is the poll.

Mods can add polls to already-existing threads, though. I believe that if you created the thread you can do it as well. Try clicking "Thread Tools" above the first post. (near the "Search Thread", "Rate This Thread", etc.)
