Now I've seen everything. Fox News Interviewed Adam Sessler on the issue of violent video games and he was NOT interrupted. Holy shit.

Lol they misspelled his name near the start as Adam Sesslar... xD (thankfully they fixed it shortly after that)

But I like how they actually got someone involved in the gaming industry (and I think Adam Sessler is a very good representative).

I liked the interview, I thought it was very balanced between allowing Adam to say their perspective but also include the perspective of the opponents (starting at 2:43).

Fox too OP. Needs nerf.

Yea I really liked this interview. Sessler is a great video game journalist. If Gaben is our God in the making of video games, Sessler is our god in talking about and defending the games.

I can't watch now since I'm in school but from what I've seen so far Fox News is a joke. Especially when they tried to say that Bulletstorm caused rapes.

LOL That's hilarious. Link me to that?

But seriously, television news is all a joke nowadays, doesn't matter what network. I do think Fox has devolved the least, compared to the others, though. Link for an example (http://www.cgpgrey.com/blog/why-tv-news-is-a-waste-of-human-effort-one-video-is-worth-a-trillion-dollars).

It says:
"The increase in rapes can be attributed in large part to the playing out of [sexual] scenes in video games,”

They're a freakin joke.

That was a quote by Carole Lieberman, who is unassociated with Fox. They were told that by an apparent psychiatric expert and reported it in the news. It's what they do. It's the same thing that every big news outlet does nowadays, Fox is no exception but nor is it the prime example.

I didn't read who said it, I was trying to hurry and find it. But still I've never seen any other new station with this crap. When they were saying MW2 was training kids to shoot up airports they completely ignored the guy trying to defend the game.

Fox News also reported that Mass Effect 1 had a fully interactive sex scene that was basically porn. The "sex scene" in ME1 was comparable to what one would see on a soap opera or a prime time drama show. But Adam made the best point, these games are not made for children and there is a rating system for a reason.

I think when the time comes and most of us gamers who are in our twenties now start haveing kids, we will be the best when it comes to picking what games are best for them growing up.

Put the new link up.

But seriously, if a game is called Grand Theft Auto, what do parents expect it to be about?

I think he was right on with the mindset that's created by calling them "games", especially for those who aren't well versed in the culture/experience/whatever. I'm sure there are plenty of parents out there who'd buy their 12-yr old the latest COD or GTA (or even Halo) and yet would never let them go see a rated-R movie.

I like how they misspelled "Sessler" as "Sesslar" in the first segment and then fixed it.

I think Fox needs to have this Brit do more interviews, as it actually was one and wasn't an interrogation!
