We had a total of 242,000 vCash donated to the armies during the First Halo 4 War. 168,000 for BLUE and 74,000 for REDD.

Well, just like in reality War Bonds can be redeemed. The rate for the the value you can receive is as follows, straight out of the Rules of Engagement (http://fcwars.net/forums/showthread.php?8794-FC-Rec1-Rules-of-Engagement):


•All War Bonds have an initial return value of 50%.
•For every month the war lasts, the return value increases by 5%.
•For every battle your army wins, the return value increases by 1%.
•For every battle your army loses, the return value decreases by 1%.
•For every game your army wins, the return value increases by 0.1%.
•For every game your army loses, the return value decreases by 0.1%.
•If your army wins the war, the return value increases by 10%.
•If your army loses the war, the return value decreases by 10%.
•All redeemed War Bonds will be rounded up to the next 1000 vCash.

Based on the above return details, REDD has a return value of 44.3%, while BLUE has a return value of 75.7%.

In longer running wars, the winning army would usually get a higher return.

i'm pretty sure your total return is your origional return+ the return value. I don't see there even being a point to this if it was less than you put in.

like, you'd get 23000 instead of 10000

If you want to make a profit with your vCash, why would you donate it to your army?

The return is comparable to a tax return or something. You won't make a profit from it, but you get some of your money back.
