    FC Update 3.5

Hello, everyone. Here's a big fat update for everyone to suckle on... erm, let's get down to business.

Be fore-warned; any flaming will result in closure of this thread and the violators will be punished promptly.

If you are unhappy with something/someone, the PM system is here for a reason.

    Submitted Maps

Below is a link to a list of community-made maps that are going to be considered for use next war.

Please be aware that although you may have a map on that list, it doesn't necessarily mean you can go ahead and claim a Creator Ribbon.

If you have a map on that list, there's a meeting this Sunday at 7pm EST being held by Mythonian, the leader of the Media Branch's forge department. If you're not there, then you effectively forfeit any chance of your map being used in the wars. If for some reason attendance is impossible, make sure to see him before hand.

    Field Marshal Elections

As you know, the Accords dictate for Reach-Era FC that the Field Marshal be elected via a vote. The future two Field Marshals are as follows:

    R.E.D.D.: LocoCrazy

    B.L.U.E.: Maxdoggy

LocoCrazy will take office effectively two weeks before the start of the wars, which is TBA.

Maxdoggy will oversee the training of future Field Marshal Johnkilla56, as per decision of the War Council. When WSxAngel returns from his summer trips, the War Council will enact a review and decide if JohnKilla56 is in further need of training.

Anyways, give them a round of applause. The High Command for both armies will be announced at a later date.

    You, Metkil, and Donations

As you know, our technical header Metkil5685 recently created a topic about money issues which can be found here.

Metkil has for awhile been bearing the brunt of our financial issues ever since MicroJupiter stopped hosting our forums. However, he cannot shoulder this responsibility on his own. He needs donations to help keep our rather expensive forums running properly. That's where you come in.

$1, 2$, $5, $20; anything that you can offer, we can use (money, of course. Home-made porn or food will not pay for the website). Otherwise, the forums will most likely receive something of a downgrade. Please, give a few bucks and help a brother out.

    New Ranks List

Below is the new ranks list for the next war. Have fun reading through it all, because we've made quite a few modifications concerning squad leadership, etc. as well as some other important things. If you're looking for the short version, you're SOL. Usergroups are already in the process of being created and will be implemented very soon.

    1. Rank Structure

    1.1 Forerunners/FC Advisor:
•Authority: Acts as a War Council Member. They are a founder, they have complete control of the community, all events, and the forums. They have an equal voice in the War Council.
•Daily Role: Make community-wide decisions. May participate in an army if desired, but must always remain unbiased.
•Promotion Criteria: Forerunners are creators or co-founders of the community. They have helped build the foundation of the community, and continue to serve in all areas where needed. Only the current Forerunners may select others to join their ranks.

    1.2 High Command:
•Daily Duties: Oversee the army, oversee all High Command projects, and address any issues, complications, or disputes, that have arisen from any time away. When a High Command individual will be absent for any army function that they are normally required to be attend, they must create a topic in the High Command forums, explaining the absence.

    1.2.1 Field Marshal (FM)
•Authority: This unit commands his whole army and makes decisions to keep his army running successfully. He stays at the headquarters at all times. He has complete control of any decision, the power to deny or accept any suggestion or change. At this position he does not interfere in promotions given within the Enlisted, or Junior Officers. He only worries about appointing Commissioned Officers and High Command units. He has power to give orders and permanently strip ranks from anybody under him.
•Daily Role: Conduct army-wide decisions to keep the army running successfully. Conduct weekly leadership meetings.
•Battle Role: Meets with the opposing High Command and organizes matches and gametypes for each battle. He gives orders to his team leaders as to what matches to join or who to send an invite for a match. One battle night every calender month, the Field Marshal is allowed to participate, and the General or Lieutenant General may take over setting up the games.
•Promotion Criteria: At the beginning of every war, the army will vote on candidates for Field Marshal.
•Credentials: A soldier may only be elected Field Marshal if they are first nominated by High Command. To be nominated by a High Command member and approved by a 2/3 High Command vote, the soldier must have served at least one year. He or she must have a proven record of activity, dedication, and excelled in a leadership position. He or she must have at least served, at some point, three consecutive months in High Command.
•Forerunner Review: Forerunners have the right, and authority, to demote or disapprove of this individual for this rank. They have the right to appoint a replacement should one be needed, especially in the case of an untimely resignation or inactivity without explanation.
