• FC UPDATE <OP> FIRESTORM

    <>

Today we Begin a New Era of our Community. Recently, B.L.U.E. swept R.E.D.D. on the planet of Reach, an undoubtedly will go down in FC History as the fastest war ever to be completed. Although that the war has concluded, and I am happy that the war is over, there is still a growing concern that we must deal with.

It is understood that the armies were incredibly unbalanced. R.E.D.D. did not win a single map the entire war. Why is this? Leadership? Skill Level? It all plays a role when fighting in a war. That is why we are implementing Operation Firestorm. We need to do something to make the armies functional again. The Operation will be split into a number of Phases. But before I explain the phases, I will tell you the purpose of Operation Firestorm.

The purpose of the entire operation is to re-organize, re-group, re-enlist and start fresh. FC is aiming to make the armies as fair as we can. The armies will be full of high/medium/and Low skilled players, new comers, and veterans of FC. Because the War Council at FC does not know everyone’s potential in skill, we are letting the community decide what faction to re-enlist. Everyone’s current rank will be wiped, and become a regular member of the community. Think of it as a new beginning in your FC Career. During this time, members will have the opportunity to re-enlist in any army they wish. Past army units & friends do not concern us at this time. You all are regular members again with no ties to any past units. Soldiers are “fresh agents” At the same time, if an old unit/squad wishes to re-join an army, they will have the opportunity to do so. However, the Field Marshals will have full discretion on how to organize their army.

    **FOUNDER’S REQUEST**

When re-enlisting we ask you to be as fair as possible. Branch out and play with new people. Make new friendships with new brothers in arms. Do not anchor yourself to a group of people, we at FC want more social aspects involved, that is what we ultimately want, a bunch of friends that fight every Sunday. Remember that our Community is mainly about FUN. If an army is unbalanced, then only half of the community will have fun. It is not about having the best squad, or best K/D Ratio, but to make friendships and kick some ass in a respectable way.

Phase 1: ALL Soldiers of R.E.D.D. and B.L.U.E. are to be removed from their current faction, and be placed as a regular member. The Enlistment office will be closed until all members are a regular member (to begin after this update is posted)

    Phase 2
: All Army sub Forums and Topics are to be removed and stored in the Archives.

Phase 3: Once all members are put in a standard member user-group, the Enlistment Office will re-open and members will once again be able to join an army of their choosing. Please see **Founders Request** above.

Phase 4: The Field Marshalls will choose their High Command from the Enlistment Office. The FM and High Command will then organize the Army with the following Rank/Unit Structure:

    Faction Rank Structure

    Field Marshal (FM):
•The Field Marshal is the Command in Chief of their respective faction, having final say in all faction wide decisions. •They must be active with their factions leadership (Weekly Meetings highly suggested) and participate within the WC on community issues.
•On Battle Nights, they are responsible for organizing their faction in conjunction with the opposing High Command. They may participate in battles once per calendar month (The next highest rank will assume setup/organization role).
    • At the start of a war, the Faction will vote on candidates for Field Marshal, who must be nominated by the High Command (Nominees must serve at least one year, have proven activity, posses strong leadership qualities, and have served for a sustained period in a High Command).
    • In the interest of the community, the Field Marshal may be removed by the Forerunners and replaced with a new leader of their selection.

    The High Command

The High Command is a collection of leaders within a faction that advise the Field Marshal and oversee functional operations of the faction during wartime. Their opinions on community issue are brought to the WC through the Field Marshall. Each rank may be given a variety of tasks by the faction's Field Marshall.

    General (GEN):

    • Must be assigned to this position by the Field Marshal.

    • Assists fellow High Command during battles in any way needed, covering for the General and Field Marshal when absent. If not needed, the Lt. General may participate in battles at their leisure.
    • Must be assigned to this position by the Field Marshal.

    Brigadier General (BRIG):
    • Fifth in Command of a faction, they have essentially the same power and responsibilities as the General in their abilities, answering to the Maj. General. In the absence of their superior officers, they have full control of the faction.

    • Assists fellow High Command during battles in any way needed, covering for the General and Field Marshal when absent. If not needed, the Lt. General may participate in battles at their leisure.
    • Must be assigned to this position by the Field Marshal.

    Flag Officers

Flag Officers are the primary command structure below the High Command, directly running major programs and initiatives within a faction. • Assists his Colonel in running their area of assignment. If an XO of a battalion, the Major is responsible for all Battalion-wide scrimmages and practices, reporting back to the Colonel on the results.
    • Assists his Colonel organizing their Battalion on Battle Nights. If they are not needed, the Major may participate in battle. If an "XO" of a Colonel who is not leading a Battalion, a Major then becomes a "filler".

However, we do this to better our community. Regardless of how you feel, I am sure many of you have many questions, so feel free to ask them, and I will answer. Some People may threaten to Leave, some people may leave, and I am prepared for that. This is not an easy thing to do. But, the WC is fully prepared for any and all scenarios. We will work through this. Stick by FC, and work with us and it is guaranteed we will over-come. Lets make this potentially last war, the best.
