Welcome to Peacetime!

REDD was victorious in the Second War of Halo 4, and managed to capture Vortex. Now, Peacetime is upon us as we prepare for the upcoming war.

Peacetime is when we take a break from Battles, look back at the last war, and try to come up with ways to improve how we do things. This includes revising our Rules of Engagement, looking at how Battle Nights are set up and managed, and trying to streamline or refine everything we do, so that the next war is more fun and enjoyable for everyone.

This Peacetime, we have a questionnaire which we'd like everyone to fill out. It gives us a lot of feedback so that we know what we need to focus on, so we'd really appreciate it if you took a look at it!


However, Peacetime is not forever. War will return, and the date of the first Battle Night of the next war is going to be...

So mark your calendars! The first Attack Plans will be up the Monday prior to that date! Only a few weeks left!

Which Army is Right For Me?

As always, during Peacetime members are able to transfer between the armies much more freely.

So far, 46 people have transferred between armies. At the time of writing this, 21 have gone from REDD to BLUE, and 25 from BLUE to REDD. The armies should be nice and mixed up for next war, which always helps to keep the wars interesting.

Since I joined over 3.5 years ago, I've gone from BLUE, to neutral, to REDD, to neutral, to BLUE, to neutral. Both armies were always a lot of fun. Now, to continue that pattern, I'm personally going to hop over to REDD (if they'll have me) and see if I can enjoy the next war a bit. (Note: it should go without saying, but I always put the community first, so no, I won't be giving unfair advantages to REDD, except if you count the fact that I'd be shooting at BLUEs.)

MedeMagic

Like last month, MedeDust has made a new banner for us. Unlike last month, the Fluid, REDD, and BLUE designs will have to wait a bit and will be released over the next week or two, hopefully.

First time a new skin included a redesigned navigation bar. Took me a few hours to get that working nicely, but I think it turned out pretty nicely.

To switch between our skins at any time, just use the dropdown menu at the bottom left of any page.

There are also new images for neutral members, but you'll have to find those yourselves. :P

Peacetime Map Testing

In order to get some testing on maps that may possibly be used in the next war, we'll be doing multiple events each week for the rest of Peacetime.

Everyone is welcome to show up, and if you do, you'll get a sneak preview at possible maps to be used, will be able to give direct criticisms/suggestions about the map, or make suggestions of other maps to use. The more the merrier!

Three events each week:

• Tuesday, 8:00 PM EST.
• Thursday, 8:00 PM EST.
• Saturday, 6:00 PM EST.

This Saturday, I will personally not be there, but someone else from the Forge Department may organize it and try getting some people together.
