    Forerunner Conflict
    8th Anniversary Celebrations

We're all excited about The Master Chief Collection, and the future looks good, but this week we're going to spend some time looking at our past, and celebrating it.

Eight years ago, on June 14th, 2006, some friends got together and formed what would end up becoming Forerunner Conflict. We began in Halo 2, we persevered through Halo 3, we survived Reach, and we're still here as Halo 4 comes to a close. Most of those who were here during Halo 2 have left us, but those who are still here look fondly back at those days, and those who joined after Halo 2 wish that they had found this community way back then.

We've been through a lot to get to this point. The Halo 2 to Halo 3 transition was hard, the community nearly died twice during Halo 3, during Reach we had Firestorm and major balancing issues, and now Halo 4 is a bit stale. However, we will survive, just as we did before. We have many capable and active leaders in this community, many new members who are eager and enthusiastic, and we have opportunity on the horizon coming November 11th.

While some parts of the past were hard, we all have good memories of epic things that happened. Halo 2 vets remember Waterworks. Halo 3 vets should remember the epic Double Capital Battle we had. Halo Reach guys can remember Tritan, Delta Facility, Vigilance, and the Falcons on those maps. And now Halo 4 guys need some memories as well. We have 5 more months to make those memories.

As everyone should know by now, there aren't going to be any Battles this week. Instead, the Anniversary celebrations are going to be occupying our time and hopefully giving everyone some fun. BLUE has had their Decathlon, and REDD has had the Bellatorathon, but now it's time for something larger than both, with prizes as well, all with the goal of celebrating our past.

We have lots of events available, and everyone should attend them. We have events on Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and Halo 4. Attend as many as you can and you'll have chances to win prizes!

    The Prizes

After all the events are done, the points earned will be tallied together, and whoever has the most combined points will be crowned the winner. This individual will receive a fully paid preorder of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, to be released November 11th.

Additional prizes will be given to the next 9 individuals as well, as follows:

    The Prizes

2nd: FC T-Shirt, $10 Xbox Gift Card, & FC Sticker
    3rd: FC T-Shirt & FC Sticker
4th-6th: $10 Xbox Gift Card & FC Sticker
    7th-10th: FC Sticker
That's over $150 in prizes. If we get some donations from people who want to help contribute to prizes, we can add more things to the list, but at the moment that's the limit.

    Sign Up For Events

Signing up for events is easy! Just make a post below with your Skype name! We'll be using a Skype group to coordinate things (to make sure we don't have anyone who never gets an invite for stupid reasons).

After that, just show up on time for the events!

HOWEVER, the WarLight Massive FFA is a bit different. If you are wanting to participate in it (it's nothing hardcore, join us for the fun!) include your WarLight account name and/or email with your Skype name so we can properly invite you to the Massive FFA. It's very easy to create an account and takes less than 5 minutes. Ask any questions you may have!

The Firefight and solo events stuff start NOW! Get a teammate and get practicing on that stuff! You have until Saturday night to make your submissions!
