Skirmish : Dino Blasters on Gambol
REDD Attacks Antifreeze (8v8 Sym)
BLUE Attacks Overgrowth (4v4 Asym)
Forge has finally arrived, and it's quite amazing. With it, we got a few new maps, and will be testing them out this week. However, we'll be using Forge to make some modifications as well. You can find out the detailed changes near the bottom of these Attack Plans.
With Forge here, we also get a File Browser! If you want to download maps and gametypes, just make sure you have me as a friend (GT: Mythonian) and view my files by selecting me in the in-game Roster. (NOTE: Do not use "bookmarks" as they don't work right now. Save the files instead of Bookmarking them!)
This will be the final week of the Beta War. It's getting close to Christmas, so not everyone will be able to attend. After this week, we'll be in a Peacetime mode again until sometime in January. We haven't determined a date for the main war to start yet, but will be announcing that once we finalize it.
Skirmish is "Dino Blasters" which was previously called "Plasma Caster Carnage." Blame Guzzie for suggesting the name change and the rest of WC for agreeing. Basically, you go pew pew with your bouncing plasma of death and wreck as many faces as possible.
Gametype Options
Gametypes are now using v3, but only the 4v4 gametypes have changes.
Explanation of notable changes:
First of all, maps: I looked over Antifreeze briefly and didn't see anything that needed immediate attention. If anyone knows of anything that needs changing on it, let me know, but at the moment the default variant works fine. As for Overgrowth, numerous changes were made:
So, Antifreeze is not going to support Hill 30 right now. The map layout doesn't work well with it, and BTB has always played better with multiple bases anyway, so it is going to stick with Strongholds/Conquest for now. Overgrowth, however, will do the opposite, and is made to suit Hill 30, and likewise adjusted for S Liberation.
The One-Flag setup is how it was in Halo 4, so one side has a flag floating in air which cannot be reached, and the rounds switch every 4 minutes. The attackers will try to capture the enemy flag by bringing it underneath their floating flag, while the defenders prevent them from doing so. No CTF whatsoever on Overgrowth. Blame 343. Hopefully they fix it before the main war starts.
Hill 30 is like in previous games. Single hill, central location, fight back and forth for control of it. At this point in time, it's impossible to have both 3-base Strongholds and Hill 30 work on the same map, but 343 should be fixing that soon. (There's a gametype label in Forge called "Strongholds:One-Base" but atm it doesn't seem to do anything, so presumably they're working on it)
Remember, you guys don't need to make them from scratch anymore! You can just download them by clicking on my name on the in-game Roster. It's nice and easy and all of the gametypes as well as the Overgrowth variant are already available for you to download!

First of all, maps: I looked over Antifreeze briefly and didn't see anything that needed immediate attention. If anyone knows of anything that needs changing on it, let me know, but at the moment the default variant works fine. As for Overgrowth, numerous changes were made:
- Camo was removed. Camo+Shotgun combo in one corner of the map makes no sense.
- Added a spare clip to the Shotgun to balance it better against the Sword.
- Railgun has been moved to top middle hallway.
- Weapon set on map no longer changes when gametype is changed.
- Stronghold bases adjusted to work with Hill 30 (One-Base).
- CTF Flag Stands adjusted to work with S Liberation (One-Flag). (343 dun fucked up)
