This week's Skirmish is much easier to understand than last week: you just gotta go around killing people. Paintball gives you a Plasma Pistol and you die in 1 shot. Other than that, it plays like Breakout. Use the map to your advantage, flank your enemies, come out victorious.

Tempest Station is our first 8v8 map this war. It's situated in an active storm region and frequently experiences high winds, torrential downpours, and occasional weapons fire. It's primarily infantry-focused, with the main vehicle being a neutral Mantis at one end of the main platform. You'll want to stay around the edges of the map and lay down suppressive fire to allow your allies to secure the mantis and maintain map control.

Excalibur is a symmetric 4v4 map. Located around a slew of wind turbines, it is responsible for centralizing and distributing the power generated by the turbines, and is one of the key installations for control in the region. It features numerous dynamic elements, as can be seen in this video.

Both of these maps are ones I was looking forward to playing on this war. Both look fantastic and are unique designs that should provide a nice change from the norm. Both maps will be receiving a bit of tweaking over the next two days, with Tempest Station receiving a bit of a structural adjustment while Excalibur focuses on fine-tuning the weapons/spawning. See you guys Saturday!

The Battle will be on Saturday, July 30th, 2016, at 6:00 PM EST. Be there!
(Skirmish begins at 5:30 PM EST! Show up a few minutes early and participate in that as well!)
