Google Fiber to the rescue? Please?
Quote:
In fact, the court actually argues that the United States is overflowing with competitive options in the home broadband market and cites Google Fiber — which is currently available in only three markets — as evidence that competition is robust.
We really need technology-savvy people in government... They probably were just like, "Wait, does Google provide internet, or is Google the Internet? Oh well, it's probably close enough either way. We'll just use them as an excuse anyway because they're such a well-known company. What were we talking about?"

I really want to leave the United States.
Maybe if I have the money one day.

Canada is the next-best option, but they have their own litany of issues too.
Nowhere is safe and free anymore! Yay!

Google recently bought several robotics companies. And now the Government wants us to flock to them too. It's all coming together now ... we're on to you Skynet.

However, if someone is following you on Google+, which anyone can do without your approval, they can also send you an email. The email will show up in the Social inbox tab in Gmail.
It is important to note that the sender won't get your email address. You have to respond or add them to a circle for that to happen. So, your best bet is just to ignore anyone you don't want to talk to and they'll go away.

Fortunately, Google did include a setting that lets you opt out.
In Gmail, click the gear icon in the upper right corner and select Settings. Scroll down to find "Email via Google+" and set it to "No one."

No company is a saint. They're in it to make money, just like all the others. The difference is that at least Google offers decent services (for a reasonable price) unlike Comcast/AT&T/TWC/etc.

^^This.
The US Court of Appeals say that there is competition enough so that if companies DO in fact throttle/restrict access to websites/apps/services, users can just switch and get similar service for the same amount of money!
That situation is only true for like 30% of the US.

Sorry for the double-post, but there is an argument going on in the comments section of my Net Neutrality video and it's quite enjoyable. :P

Hell yeah it is.
People are getting super involved in that convo, though. There's this one douche defending the cable companies and everyone is just like "STAHP YOU'RE DUMB!" and so-on and so-forth.
