"building a cpu"
"building a central processing unit"
Building a computer component....
Joking aside, I would increase your hard drive size a little bit. 160GB will fill REALLY fast.
Besides that, without researching every other part, I can say it's an alright build. Your going to be bottlenecked by your CPU. With everything else your running, a Quad will likely run smoother with everything else. Also, next time you do a build out like this, some links to the components would be nice. Assume everyone else is lazy. For example, I am too lazy to manually search for all the parts.
Re: 1st time building a cpu.
Shemnue,
Wow, you're building a CPU. I built one in an emulator once, but man you're hot stuff if you can build one from scratch!
Just make sure all the parts go together. Just make sure you PSU can handle the load. If it's a cheap PSU you'll overload it and it'll blow out. Also, make sure that all the parts go together. Nothing worse than getting DDR2 RAM instead of DDR3 when the mb only supporters DDR3.
You could probably upgrade to an Intel i5. I think they're a tad more powerful than the Woldale model. Just my couple of cents.
