Experiment-Blood Trail

You decide to follow the blood trail. You shoulder your newly found weapon, and slowly follow the trail into the dark corridor. You creep around the door only to realize that this isn't the same corridor you were in moments ago. You quickly spin around only to see a wall of decomposed bodies occupy the space where the armory door used to be. Fear engulfs your mind as you begin to question reality. You turn around, take a deep breath, and continue to follow the trail with your shotgun shouldered.

The corridor becomes darker with every step, and the smell of death gets stronger. The corridor becomes too dark to see where you are going, so you turn on your filters. The corridor lights up and the walls turn into a bright green. You continue to follow the blood.

After what seems to be hours of walking, the trail ends. Fear floods your mind as you look in front of you to only see the wall of bodies. A large thump resonates behind you. You quickly spin around to see the top half of the body from the armory dangling from the darkness above you. A large red dot invades your sensor, and you shoulder your weapon.

You begin to hear a scratching noise all around you. As you panic, your sensor implodes with redness. You turn to notice the wall moving. Behind you, the remains of the body re-animate. It grabs onto your shoulder, but as you turn around, it was gone. You hear a screech from above you. Something drops down on top of you, and it quickly rips off your chest plate. You feel a sharp pain then you black out.

As you regain conscious, you see that your chest has been ripped open. You look ahead of you to see the hundreds of creatures staring at you. Only seeing their crystal-like eyes in the darkness...
