The headset is a Turtle Beach PX-21
That Xbox you see is golden. I've had it since June of 2008 and it has only failed once. It got the red ring like a month after I got it. This thing is a beast, hasn't failed since and its been 5 years now.
The big TV is a Coby 32-inch while the smaller one is an Insignia 19-inch.
Yeah it does! HAF 912 ftw

I have a laptop.
I've really been getting sick of the crappiness of my laptop. So I recently decided that I'm going to push back getting an Xbox One until next year, and instead get a new laptop for the Fall semester.
Now I've looked around a bit and I'm fairly sure this is what's going to be happening around early September:
Toshiba Satellite A215-S7428 -> Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK-55 (1.8 GHz 512KB L2 Cache -> 4th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ (2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB) 2.0GB DDR2 SDRAM @ 667.0 MHz -> 8.0GB DDR3L RAM @ 1600Mhz 128MB ATI Radeon X1200 -> 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 15.4in 1280x800 Resolution -> 15.6in 1920x1080 Resolution 160GB HDD @ 5400.0 rpm -> 1TB HDD @ 5400rpm 10/100 Ethernet | USB 2.0 | 5-in-1 Card Reader Input -> 1GB Ethernet | USB 3.0 | 6-in-1 Card Reader Input VGA | S-Video Output -> VGA | HDMI Output Up to 1hr Battery Life (Due to Age) -> Up to 5hr Battery Life No Webcam -> HD 720p Webcam
I think I should be able to get a pretty good balance of portability and performance out of the Y510p. Let me know if I'm wrong, and if you have any suggestions! No matter what I'd say it's a hefty improvement over what I currently own.
Lugging around a big laptop around campus won't be your friend, Kaz. My friend had a 17" Alienware and he hated it's weight and didn't have a backpack large enough to fit it securely.
I would look at seeing if there are two hard drive bays in your laptop, as getting an SSD for your OS will be a god-send. An HDD at 5400rpm isn't going to cut it for going to class back and forth.
