The Lobby/Chatroom system works just fine, but I cannot open an individual chat half the time. It just freezes my internet and won't open. Any idea why?

Are you using Internet Explorer by chance?
On a more serious note, which forum skin are you using? Not sure if that would affect it, but I know a lot of our older skins are not maintenanced anymore.
